Charder Keeps The Pressure On

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Just a few minutes ago, we reported that Christian Harder was involved in a preflop raising war that saw him commit all of his 33,000-plus chip stack. He didn't get a call that time, and the same happened on a hand we just caught, though this one saw a full board.

There was 3,500 in the middle when the flop came down {8-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Harder's lone opponent fired out 2,200, and Harder threw out a raise to 4,700. He was called, and the turn brought the {9-Hearts}. Both players checked, and the river brought a third queen, the {q-Spades}.

Harder's opponent fired out 8,800, and he went into the tank for about 15 seconds before annoucing all in, splashing 25,000 into the middle in the process. Harder has his opponent covered, and he looked visably frustrated as he was forced to fold his hand.

After collecting that pot, Harder is now up to 56,000.

A Harder Push

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Christian Harder was just involved in a significant preflop conflict. It appeared to have begun with a raise from the player in the hijack seat, a button call, then a reraise by Harder from the small blind. The original raiser then four-bet, the button, folded, and Harder pushed all in for 33,700 total.

That was enough for Harder's lone remaining opponent who finally conceded the pot.

Glantz Gets Aggressive

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Matt Glantz has quietly been grinding his stack up in this flight, and it's been nearly impossible to catch the man in a hand. However, we just caught one from the beginning, and even thought it was a small pot, we felt compelled to report about the rare sighting.

Action folded all the way around to the player on the button, and he raised it up to 1,100. Glantz peeked down at his cards in the small blind, then put out a three bet to 2,800. The big blind folded, and after about 30 seconds of thought, the button called.

The flop came down {q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, and Glantz wasted little time in firing out 3,000. His opponent also took little time in folding his hand, and Glantz took down the pot to get his stack up to 42,000.

Studdard Fires, Collects

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

The flop had come {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and about 4,000 sat in the middle when Darius Studdard, playing from the blinds, bet 2,500 and Steve Dannenmann called. The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and another bet from Studdard, this time for 3,500, and Dannenmann called again.

The river was the {9-Hearts}. Studdard fired once more, pushing out 3,500 again, and Dannenmann sat back in his chair.

"You bet that jack-ten the whole way," he said with a grin, sounding like he might be testing out the idea of what Studdard might be holding by saying it out loud. Finally he leaned forward and tossed out the calling chips, and Studdard quickly tabled his hand — {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

It wasn't jack-ten, but it was good enough as Dannenmann mucked his hand.

Finne Can't Fade the Four-Three Offsuit

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Action folded around to the player in the cutoff, and he moved all in his last 3,500. Timonthy Finne on the button was the lone caller, and when the cards were tabled, Finne was out in front.

Finne: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}

The flop was fine for Finne, coming {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. However, the {3-Hearts} on the turn paired his opponent, and the river brought Finne no help, coming the {2-Spades}.

Finne is still doing well after that hand, sitting on 35,000.
