Shawn Daniels Out On the Bubble

Kenna James opened the action in middle position by raising to 11,000. It folded around to Shawn Daniels in the small blind, and he moved all in for 63,500. It folded back around to James, and let out a laugh while counting out his chips. He was tanking for about a minute, laughing occasionaly and saying a few words here and there. Daniels then asked "Are you just nitrolling me with 10's or something." Eventually, James slammed down the call, and Daniels was right on.

Daniels: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
James: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Daniels would need to survive a race to avoid being the bubble boy, but the flop was a disaster, coming down {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Daniels would now need runner runner, and he caught one card on the turn, the {9-Hearts}. However, the river was the {j-Clubs}, and James collected the bounty, while Daniels is the last player to walk away empty handed.

Nguyen Nails Quercio

"All in!" "Call!" We heard these words within a matter of a second over at Soi Nguyen's table so we went over to see what was happening. We saw that on a {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Anthon Quercio was all in holding {j-}{j-}. However, he was behind the {9-}{8-} of Soi Nguyen. Quercio was looking for a jack or a five on the turn, but the {6-Hearts} came. A six would also work now, but the river was the {3-Diamonds}.

Quercio was eliminated, and with the elimination of Ben Mintz shortly after, we are now on the exact money bubble.

Harwood Doubles Near The Bubble

Action folded around to Loni Harwood on the button, and she moved all in for 51,500. Arthur Hahn folded in the small blind, and Soi Nguyen asked for a count. He eventually made the call, and we were off to the races.

Nguyen: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Harwood: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

The flop was action packed, coming down {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. Harwood paired her ace, but she would have to dodge a two or a club. The turn brought the {a-Hearts}, and even though it gave Harwood trips, it didn't change much, except that the {9-Clubs} would be no good for Nguyen. The river was the {10-Diamonds}, and Harwood got a key double up three eliminations from the money.

Critical Mistake for Kursar

Matthew Kursar was eliminated in 37th place moments ago by Randall. After he was knocked out, he asked the floor where he should go to collected his money. The problem is, only 33 players are making money today. When the floor told him they weren't in the money, Kursar said "oh shit!" and walked away shaking his head.

When the table heard this, they wondered if he would have made the same play had he know they weren't in the money. Regardless, we are now down to the final four tables, and 3 players from the money.

Randall Cracks Half a Million

We missed the hand that did it, but table mate Shawn Daniels gave us the cliff notes. David Randall raised it up, and Casey Stewart three bet it. Randall moved all in with {4-}{4-}, and Stewart made the call with {a-}{k-}. The board ran all low cards, and Randall collected the bounty, and upped his stack to over 500,000.

Nguyen Takes The Chip Lead

We walked into the middle of a huge pot developing between Soi Nguyen and Kwinsee Tran. The board had been completed, running out {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}. There was already at least 60,000 in the middle, and Nguyen bet out 35,000. Tran spent about 90 seconds in the tank before flashing the {q-Diamonds} and mucking his hand.

Nguyen showed a {k-} before mucking his other card, and after that pot, he is our new chip leader at 390,000. Meanwhile, Tran drops to 140,000.
