The Bubble Hath Burst

On the third hand of hand-for-hand play, the action folded to Shawn Van Asdale, who moved all in for effectively 80,000 from the small blind. The player in the big blind tank-called, putting himself at risk.

Big Blind: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Van Asdale: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop gave Van Asdale the lead, and he held as the turn and river came {k-Clubs}, {2-Diamonds} respectively.

The remaining 45 players are guaranteed $2,861, and there are 15 minutes left before the dinner break.

Suck and Re-Suck

There was a commotion over at Table 48, and we rushed over to see what happened. When we arrived, we saw that the board was {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and Candace Collins had {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} sitting in front of her.

Evidently her opponent, who was eliminated, held {a-}{10-}.

Collins is now up to 115,000 chips.

Pollock Folds Kings Pre?

Josh Pollock opened to 9,000 from early position, Bruce Peterson three-bet to 21,000 from the hijack seat, and Prabhakar Thonduru moved all in for around 125,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Pollock, who thought for a very long time before folding. Peterson snap-mucked.

"Good fold," Thonduru offered, flashing two aces.

"I swear to God I folded two kings," Pollock announced.

"Ace-king?" Thonduru questioned. "Big slick?"

"No," Pollock responded. "Kings."

We never saw the cards, but if Pollock truly folded kings, then that's quite incredible.

Two for Song, Davis Busts

Robert Hancock opened to 10,000 in early position, John Song three-bet to 30,000 on his direct left, and the action folded back to Hancock, who tank-called.

The flop fell {6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and Hancock checked. Song slid out a tower of blue T5,000 chips, but before we could count the bet, Hancock folded {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} face up.

Song didn't show, but he claimed to have aces.

A few hands alter, Todd Davis open-shoved his last few thousand or so with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Song put him at risk with {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}, and the board ran out {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Davis is eliminated, while song is up to around 330,000 chips.

Marshall Check-Jams Turn

Cary Marshall and Valentin Vornicu were heads up with the board reading {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and about 45,000 in the middle. Marshall checked, Vornicu fired 26,000, and Marshall called.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, and Marshall checked again. Vornicu slid out 55,000, and Marshall moved all in for 156,000 total. Vornicu went deep into the tank, during which Marshall stood up and placed his hands on his hips. Vornicu eventually folded, leaving just 80,000 behind, and Marshall shipped the pot.
