Cai Gone; Tamayo Thrives

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

Jonathan Tamayo opened to 30,000 from under the gun and was called by Arshin Gamini from middle position and Zhen Cai on the button. The flop brought {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Tamayo continued for 65,000. Gamini folded and Cai flat called.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Tamayo checked. Cai slid out 71,000 and Tamayo instantly announced that he was all in which was actually a bet for Cai's life. Cai called only to find that he was behind.

Tamayo: {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Cai: {Q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The river bricked out for Cai and he was eliminated from play. By absorbing Cai's stack, Tamayo has now built up to about 1.5 million in chips.

Crooks Doubles Through Campanello

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

Andrew Crooks open shipped all in for his last 182,000 from middle position. He received a call from Bryan Campanello and the hands were tabled:

Crooks: {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Campanello: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Crooks paired up when the flop brought {2-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and now Campanello would need to improve to score the knockout. The {K-Clubs} on the turn was of no help and Crooks secured the double when the {7-Diamonds} finished off the board. Crooks is now sitting on about 380,000 while Campanello, on the other hand, has dropped to 555,000.
