Will "The Thrill" Failla didn't play in the first starting flight, and things weren't going too well for here on Day 1b. The East Coast grinder expressed his interest in busting so he could re-enter at the start of Day 2, and his wish just came true.
It happened when Failla moved all in from middle position for 8,300 holding the ![]()

was just as good.
"There is a god," Failla exhaled before collecting his things and adding, "You guys all die on the way home, alright?" The rest of the players got a good laugh.

Did you know the dealer button in poker is also known as the "buck"? It's because players in the old days would use a deer antler to signify who was the dealer. As such, when you were passing the dealer button you were "passing the buck," which became synonymous with dodging responsibility. Another interesting fact is that U.S. President Harry S. Truman popularize the saying, "The buck stops here," as he had a sign with that saying hung in his office.
Anyway, the buck we're referencing in the title isn't the dealer button, it's a man named Buck Ramsay who just so happened to eliminated Aaron Massey.
It happened when Ramsay opened from early position and Massey, who was to his direct left, three-bet to 4,100. Action folded back to Ramsay, he four-bet it to 10,000, and Massey responded by moving all in for 33,300 more. When Ramsay asked for a count, a seemingly excited Massey shook his fist as if to say, "He didn't snap call!" Nonetheless, Ramsay made the call.

Players are back in their seats and Level 10 is now underway, although it took some of them a few extra minutes to get back from that last break of the night.
That's because the exciting finish to the Michigan-Syracuse NCAA basketball semifinal had occupied attentions as cards went back in the air. There were a few shouts as Michigan prevailed, and now it looks as though everyone has settled in for the last three 40-minute levels of the night.
