Lowery Busts Two at Table of Doom to Take Chip Lead; Arieh Gone

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Daniel Lowery
Daniel Lowery

The last ten minutes have been action packed over at the "Table of Doo." A small pot, a massive pot and three eliminations later and Daniel Lowery is the new chip leader.

It began when a short-stacked Stephen Bokor moved all in preflop holding the {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} on the button and received a call from Lowery, who held the {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs} in the big blind. The board ran out {3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and that was all she wrote for Bokor.

In the very next hand action folded to Ray Henson and he put in a standard raise. Lowery, still stacking chips, three-bet, Henson four-bet and Lowery five-bet all in. Henson snap-called off to create a monster 220,000 pot.

Henson: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Lowery: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

It looked like Lowery had stepped in it for a moment, but that quickly changed when the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop delivered him the nuts and left Henson drawing dead. The latter was clearly disappointed and was headed out the door even before the {4-Diamonds} was put out on the turn followed by the {K-Clubs} on the river.

Minutes later Nick Jivkov busted Josh Arieh in unknown action.

Tahoe No More

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Howard "Tahoe" Andrew - Eliminated
Howard "Tahoe" Andrew - Eliminated

Howard "Tahoe" Andrew open-shoved for his last 10,000 or so in middle position, and a player on the button called. Both blinds released, and the hands were opened.

Tahoe: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Button: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Tahoe was dominated, and hit the rail when the flop, turn, and river produced {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

"Oh, What a Game"

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

About ten minutes ago Preston Derden, who was sitting on a short stacked, explained to us that he was extremely card dead and looking for any halfway decent hand to get it in with.

A few moments ago he called us over and pointed at the table. We discovered that he had gotten his 15,000 or so all in preflop holding the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and was dominating the {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} of his opponent. Much to his dismay, the board ran out {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} to put a flush on the board and steal his double.

"Oh, what a game," Derden halfheartedly lamented.

Smith Wins a Race; Up to 100K

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player open-shoved for around 20,000 from the cutoff, and Patrick Smith called in the big blind.

Cutoff: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Smith: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The {q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop gave Smith a leading pair of kings, and he improved his hand to an ace-high flush when the turn and river came {8-Clubs}, {7-Clubs} respectively.

Smith's opponent hit the rail, while he now sits with around 105,000 chips.

Table 46 is Without a Doubt the Table of Doom

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

To say that Table 46 is the toughest table in the room is a certainty. To say it's the toughest table of the entire Harrah's New Orleans wouldn't be too far a stretch either. Heck, we could say it's the toughest final table of the entire 2012/2013 World Series of Poker Circuit and you might just agree. Take a look:
