Ervin Has No Chips

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Chip Ervin (Day 1) - Eliminated
Chip Ervin (Day 1) - Eliminated

Ben Mintz, who is rocking an "Andy's Team" shirt for his good friend who has been diagnosed with stage four cancer, opened for a raise to 26,000, two players called including Chip Ervin in the blinds, and the flop fell {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-}. Ervin checked, Mintz continued for 39,000, and the player in the middle folded. Ervin moved all in for what Mintz believe to be 200,000 or so, and Mintz called.

Mintz: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Ervin: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Mintz's hand held, and Ervin hit the rail.

WSOP Bracelet Winner Doubles Through Weinman

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Weinman opened for 24,000 from middle position and cleared the field all the way around to World Series of Poker bracelet winner Robert Cheung, who had just moved to the table. He promptly shoved all in for right around 200,000 and Weinman called.

Weinman: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Cheung: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Cheung was well out in front and stayed there as the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Gellepis Can't Keep Them Low

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

A preflop raising war resulted in Nic Gellepis being all in preflop holding the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and racing against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} of Kasra Khodayarkhani.

"Keep them low," Gellepis told the dealer, who did not oblige as the {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop paired Khodayarkhani. Gellepis was silent from there on out and watched helplessly as the {3-Diamonds} turn and {7-Hearts} river failed to help him. Gellepis finished in 33rd place for $5,235.

Bowers Bows Out

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

We're not 100% sure, but it appeared Tripp Kirk raised on the button and then called when Morgan Bowers shoved all in from the small blind. Whatever the case, Bowers was at risk and in trouble as her {A-Clubs}{3-Spades} was dominated by the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} of Kirk.

We'd like to say there was a reprieve for one of the last three women in the field, but that's not how it happened as the board ran out a draw {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. With that, Bowers bowed out in 34th place for $4,618.

Bishop Bests Lockwood and Chhabra

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Peter Lockwood opened to 24,000 in middle position, Daniel Bishop called on his direct left, and Rogen Chhabra defended his big blind. The flop fell {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, Chhabara checked, and Lockwood continued for 42,000. Bishop grabbed five blue T25,000 chips, raising to 125,000, and both Chhabra and Bishop mucked.

Deevara Over 500K

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Rahul Deevara entered Day 2 as the overall chip leader, but has been quiet for most of the day. He just picked up a pot against Tzu Yen, however, and now sits with over half of a million chips.

The two were heads up on a flop of {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and Yen check-called a bet of 51,000. The turn was the {5-Spades}, both players checked, and the {10-Diamonds} completed the board. Yen checked a third time, Deevara fired 55,000, and Yen tank-called.

Deevara showed {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a pair of tens, and Yen mucked his hand.

Yen Finishes Montero

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After doubling through Mark Montero, Tzu Yen has turned right around and eliminated him.

It happend when Yen opened from the hijack and then called when Montero moved all in from the big blind for roughly 190,000. Montero flipped over the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and didn't seem excited when he saw Yen's {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

"He's got two overs," Montero told Claudia Crawford. Indeed he did and one of them came on the {10-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop. Yen took a commanding lead and Monteri was looking for a seven to stay alive. The {6-Clubs} turn wasn't what he needed and neither was the {6-Hearts} river. Montero was eliminated in 35th place.

Yen Doubles

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Mark Montero opened to 25,000 in middle position, Tzu Yen moved all in for 78,000 from the small bind, and Montero called.

Montero: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Yen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Montero took the lead when the dealer fanned {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and remained ahead when the {5-Clubs} turned, but the {a-Diamonds} completed the board, giving Yen a winning pair of aces.

He doubled to around 160,000 chips, while Montero dropped down to 155,000.
