Lawrence Blazer Eliminated in 7th Place ($20,877)

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Lawrence Blazer- 7th Place
Lawrence Blazer- 7th Place

On the very next hand, Lawrence Blazer open shoved for his last 271,000, and Benjamin Kim looked him up from the small blind. It was a race, as Blazer held {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and Kim held {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. The board ran down {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and Kim's full house got the job done.

Blazer will have to settle for just under $21,000, while Kim, who started the final table 2nd to last in chips, is now a threat with 1.15 million.

Johnson Doubles Through Hedin

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jerry Johnson open shoved all in for his last 275,000 from under the gun, and Allan Hedin made the call next to act. Everyone else got out of the way, and the cards were tabled.

Hedin: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Johnson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Johnson was in bad shape, but he turned that around when the flop came {4-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Hedin would need one of the two kings left, but it never came, as the board completed {6-Diamonds} and {5-Clubs}.

Johnson jumped up to 600,000 after that hand, while Hedin fell to 1.05 million

Hedin's Set Takes From Taylor

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jonathan Taylor made it 48,000 to go, and was called by both the blinds, Allan Hedin and Lawrence Blazer. The flop came {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and it was checked to Taylor, who fired out 65,000. Hedin was the only caller, and then he led out for 125,000 when the {7-Spades} hit the turn. Taylor called, and the river brought a scary {9-Hearts}. Both players checked, and Hedin tabled {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a flopped set. Taylor flashed the {q-Spades} for top pair before mucking, and Hedin collected the pot.

Kim Doubles Through Eyster

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Rosie Paules raised to 48,000 from under the gun, and she was called by Kevin Eyster in the small blind, and Benjamin Kim in the big blind.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and Eyster checked to Kim, who open shoved for his last 331,000. Paules folded, but Eyster quickly made the call.

Eyster: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Kim: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Kim was looking for an ace or a club to win the hand, and he got the {5-Clubs} on the turn, leaving Eyster drawing dead. The meaningless river was the {2-Diamonds}, and Kim secured the double up to almost 800,000, while Eyster falls to 2.05 million.

Another Chop

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Rosie Paules raised it up to 48,000, and Jerry Johnson moved all in for 283,000. It got back around to Paules, and after about 20 seconds of thought, she slid the call in.

Paules: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Johnson: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran down {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and the two chopped it up. This is the third time at this final table that an all in and call has ended with a chop.

Eyster Takes the Chip Lead

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Kevin Eyster raised it up to 50,000, and he got three callers: Jonathan Taylor on the button, Jerry Johnson in the small blind, and Allan Hedin in the big blind.

The flop came down {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and it was checked through. The {10-Diamonds} hit the turn, and it was checked to Eyster, who bet out 70,000. Taylor and Hedin came along to see the {k-Diamonds} hit the river. It was checked to Eyster, and he laid out a massive bet of 325,000. Taylor got out of the way, but Hedin spent some time in the tank. He cut out the call, and after a minute of thinking, he slid it in.

Eyster tabled {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for the nut flush, and Hedin kicked his cards in. That pot dropped Hedin down to 1.05 million, while Eyster is now up to 2.45 million.

The turn brought the {4-Spades}, and Paules kept the aggression up with a bet of 150,000. Taylor called again, and the river brought the {8-Spades}. Paules fired one more time for 250,000, and after 30 seconds of tanking, Taylor put out a raise to 800,000. Paules moved all in, and Taylor made the call!

Ashly Butler Eliminated in 8th Place ($16,444)

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Ashly Butler- 8th Place Finisher
Ashly Butler- 8th Place Finisher

Wow. Ashly Butler went from 2nd in chips to out in two hands. On the hand right after the one with Kevin Eyster, Rosie Paules raised it up to 40,000, and Butler called in the small blind.

The flop came down {j-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn brought the {9-Spades}, and Butler checked to Paules, who fired out 75,000. Butler clicked it back with a min raise to 150,000, and it was back to Paules. She put in a three bet to 450,000, and Butler made the call to put the pot over 1 million.

The river came the {4-Diamonds}, and Butler checked to Paules. She quickly moved all in, and Butler called even quicker. Paules tabled {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for a flopped full house, and a dejected Butler mucked his hand.

Butler headed to the payout desk, while Paules is our new chip leader with 2.1 million.

Eyster Wins Round 2

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Just two hands after the one we just reported, Kevin Eyster and Ashly Butler tangled again.

Eyster started the action by raising to 45,000 in early position, and Butler came along in the big blind. The flop came {8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, and Butler check called a bet of 42,000. The turn came the {7-Clubs}, and Butler checked again. Eyster fired out 85,000 this time, and again, Butler tagged along.

The river came the {9-Clubs}, and Butler checked a third time. Eyster tanked for about 20 seconds before assembling a massive bet of 225,000, and sliding it in. Butler quickly called, and Eyster tabled {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a set of sevens. Butler mucked, and Eyster scoops the massive pot to get back up to 1.8 million, while Butler falls to 1 million.
