Deuces Never Loses

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Ricardo Manquant raised from the button and found a customer in Antoine Rahal out of the big blind. On the {J-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {6-Spades} turn, Rahal bet 90,000 and was called before the {2-Hearts} appeared on the river. Rahal bet 300,000 and Manquant quickly called, then let out a long sigh when his opponent flipped over the {2-Spades} {2-Clubs} for a set on the river.

Cimbolas Stops Downfall; Doubles

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Miroslav Alilovic started the action with a min-raise to 120,000 and Matas Cimbolas moved all in for 1,160,000 from the button. Ricardo Manquant flat-called in the big blind and Alilovic let go.

Cimbolas: {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}
Manquant: {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}

The {5-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} board ran out safely for Cimbolas, allowing him to double up and stopping the recent downfall. "You can't win a flip," the Lithuanian joked to his opponent.

Battle of the Chip Leaders

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Miroslav Alilovic three-bet an open raise of Ricardo Manquant very small and was called to see a flop of {6-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}. Manquant check-called the continuation bet of his fellow Frenchman for 125,000 and the {2-Spades} turn saw no action.

On the {J-Hearts} river, Manquant slid forward a bet of 250,000 and that was rewarded with a fold from Alilovic.

Cimbolas Silenced

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Matas Cimbolas raised to 135,000 from the cutoff and Ricardo Manquant called in the small blind before Miroslav Alilovic three-bet to 315,000 out of the big blind. Cimbolas tank-folded and Manquant also quickly released his cards.

Usually Cimbolas is chatting up the table a lot, but hasn't done so for at least an hour. The Lithuan slips down to the second-last place in the overall counts.

Manquant With Full House

Level 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

The players agreed to have a 10-minute break after every level instead of the 20 minutes each two levels. In the very last hand of the level, Ricardo Manquant opened to 100,000 and received four callers in Antoine Rahal, Najib Bennis, Matas Cimbolas as well as Ramona Gallardo in the blinds.

On a flop of {3-Hearts} {2-Spades} {4-Clubs}, Manquant bet 135,000 and was called only by Bennis to see the {8-Diamonds} on the turn. Again the Frenchman bet and his 265,000-barrel was called. The {2-Diamonds} river triggered a 500,000-bet by Manquant and Bennis called without much hesitation to muck when shown the {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades} by the Frenchman.

Eventually a River

Level 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Ricardo Manquant opened to 110,000 from the cutoff and Najib Bennis called in the big blind to see a heads-up flop of {10-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}. Bennis check-called a continuation bet of 110,000 and the {2-Diamonds} turn got checked by both players. On the {9-Hearts} river, Bennis checked and quickly called a 150,000-bet by Manquant.

The initial aggressor showed {K-Spades} {10-Hearts} for a pair of tens but it was no good, as Bennis flipped over {J-Spades} {7-Spades} for top pair.

Suddenly Awake

Level 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

After many more preflop situations, the action folded to Ramona Gallardo and she moved all in for 630,000 chips out of the small blind. Ricardo Manquant called out of the big blind with {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds} and had a flip against the {Q-Hearts} {8-Spades} of Gallardo.

At the end of the {3-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}, the mostly Spanish speaking rail burst out in celebration and Gallardo scored yet another double up.
