The first starting day of the 2015 World Series of Poker International Circuit Main Event at the Casino de Marrakech attracted a total of 171 entries, of which 63 bagged up chips after 12 levels of play. Of those entries, sixteen of them were second bullets for 15,000 Dirhams (€1,350) apiece. Ultimately it was Frederic Rizzo who shot to the top of the leader board at the end, accumulating astonishing 264,000 in chips and edging out Jorge Coello Esmoris's 239,800.

El Mostafa Ederoua, who finished third at the Winamax Poker Tour in Paris two weeks ago for €50,000, busted [Removed:253] at the end of level 11 and claimed 216,300 chips, good enough for third place overall. Other big stacks include Alexandre de Zutter (154,800), Mostafa Boukri (154,000), Masbah Ben Baba (153,700). Arnaud Peyroles (147,000) as well as recent World Poker Tour National Brussels finalist Miroslav Alilovic (138,000).

PMU Poker Team Pro Brian Benhamou (131,300) and Ludovic Riehl (111,000) also bagged up above-average stacks. Guillaume Darcourt was among the players to purchase a second bullet and tripled up at the very end.

Paul Francois Tedeschi (67,100), Fadhil Farag (48,000), Rebecca Gerin (47,400), Manuel Sadornil (47,200) and Anthony Rodrigues (22,800) will return with less than the average when the action resumes on Saturday at 14:00 local time.

Among those that didn't make it yet and have to re-enter Day 1b were such familiar names as Abdelhadi Kondah, Anas Tadini, Quentin Lecomte, Philippe Ktorza, Guillaume Diaz, Brahim Oubella, Frederic Hebette, Matas Cimbolas and Sonny Franco. It wasn't a bad day for Franco though as earlier in the day he took down Event #7 €540 DeepStack for a gold ring. In addition, Said El Yousfi from Switzerland also claimed a WSOP Circuit Ring today.

That's all for now, but make sure to tune back in tomorrow as of 14:00 local time for PokerNews Live Reporting when Day 1b gets underway in the heart of Morocco.
