The second day of the 2016 WSOP Circuit €1,650 Main Event at the King's Casino in Rozvadov will see at least 315 players return to the tables. They are the Day 1 survivors from a record-setting field of 802 entries. The €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool has already been shattered, making the event a big success for King's Casino and the WSOP.

The total number of players is not final yet, as registration remains open until the first card is dealt. Late entrants will be able to buy-in with a stack of almost twenty big blinds.

Starting off the day as the overall chipleader is Francisco Arce from Spain, who bagged 317,800 on Day 1a. He is followed by a slew of players from Day 1b, with Milad Izadmousa (243,300), Stefan Drabert (231,300), Szymon Wysocki (226,600) and Volkan Matur (224,500) rounding out the top 5.

Notables who are still in contention are Martin Šlajer (204,900), Miroslav Forman (202,300), Matas Cimbolas (140,000), Pierre Neuville (102,800), Martin Kabrhel (63,000), Vojtech Ruzicka (48,000), Martin Staszko (47.600), defending champion Mateusz Dziebowski (44,900), Sofia Lövgren (43,100), Dominik Panka (38,000), Ondrej Vinklarek (22,400) and Natalie Hof (19,000).

At 2 p.m. local time, play will resume with blinds at 800/1,600 and a running ante of 200. On the eight-handed tables, the action is expected to be fast and furious right off the bat. The first goal of the penultimate day is reaching the money and the payouts will be announced within the first two levels of play. Level duration has been increased to 60 minutes for the remainder of the tournament.

The PokerNews.com team will be there to provide live reporting updates throughout the day. A live stream table with both English and German commentary is available on Twitch and in the navigation bar above the updates.

Peters Sees Through Matur

Volkan Matur
Volkan Matur

Volkan Matur ended Day 1b with one of the top five stacks in the room. At the start of Day 2 however, the Turk slipped a bit after trying to bluff Tobias Peters unsuccessfully.

Matur opened the action to 6,200 and Peters called in position. Both players checked the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} on the flop. Matur bet 10,500 on the {4-Diamonds} turn and Peters called.

On the {5-Clubs} river, Matur now bet 23,000, which sent Peters in the tank. The Dutchman sipped from his drink, seized up his opponent, then slid in a call.

Matur held just {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a pair of deuces and Peters tabled the winner with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Dominik Panka
Dominik Panka

Polish superstar Dominik Panka is no longer in the Main Event. First, Panka ran ace-queen into pocket aces to lose most of his stack.

Shorty after, his last chips went in with pocket fives versus ace-queen. A queen on the flop sealed his fate and ended his Main Event run.

Akenhead Takes On Ruzicka

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Vojtech Ruzicka
Vojtech Ruzicka

Vojtech Ruzicka raised to 9,000 from the cutoff. James Akenhead three-bet to 31,000 from the small blind and Ruzicka called. The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Akenhead continued with a bet of 18,000 and Ruzicka called again.

The 2009 November Niner checked the turn, prompting the 2016 November Niner to bet 35,000. Akenhead spent nearly four minutes in the tank before shoving all in for 74,500.

A visibly disgusted Ruzicka spent a minute in the tank, but even with the tempting odds the Czech couldn't make the call and folded.

Wendlandt Doesn't Get Tired Of Winning

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Henning Wendlandt
Henning Wendlandt

Even Donald Trump might not be winning as much as Henning Wendlandt does. Everything the Austrian touched today has turned into gold. Just now, he took down another sizable pot at table 79.

Wendlandt defended his big blind against a middle position raise from Martin Weiemann. Both players checked the {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} on the flop. Wendlandt bet 13,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn and Weiemann called.

On the {Q-Diamonds} river, Wendlandt bet 34,000 and Weiemann called again. The Austrian flipped {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} open for the rivered nut straight, enough to take the pot.

Wendlandt Crosses One Million Mark

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Henning Wendlandt
Henning Wendlandt

It's all Henning Wendlandt at the moment. Poor Martin Weiemann also lost the rest of his stack to the unstoppable Austrian, who's now up to over one million.

On a flop of {J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, a third player bet an unknown amount and Wendlandt check-raised to 64,000. Weiemann shoved for 92,000, the third player folded and Wendlandt called it off with a smile.

Martin Weiemann: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Henning Wendlandt: {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Wendlandt was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, but after the {2-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river his ace-high improved to an improbable straight to send Weiemann to the rail.
