Panek Doubles Through Greko

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Tomasz Panek
Tomasz Panek

The board read {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and there was a little over 7,000 in the middle already. Gregor Greko checked from the big blind and Tomasz Panek bet 5,025 from the cutoff. Greko made the call and the {8-Hearts} hit the river.

Greko checked again and Panek moved all-in for 16,025.

"I just want to see," Greko said as he called after a brief moment. Panek tabled {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for two pair and Greko nodded as he pushed his cards to the muck.

Kuhnen Takes from Neuville

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Markus Kuhnen
Markus Kuhnen

Markus Kuhnen raised to 1,200 and Pierre Neuville called from the small blind to see a flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Neuville check-called a bet of 1,500 before leading the {2-Diamonds} turn for 2,500. Kuhnen raised to 7,000 and Neuville called.

The {A-Hearts} appeared on the river and Neuville bet big with 16,000 to send Kuhnen into the think tank. Eventually, the German called and Neuville rolled over {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a pair of fours. Kuhnen had that beat with {J-Spades}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights and raked in a decent pot.

Building Stack Without a Showdown

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Pavel Plesuv faced a raise to 1,000 by Dawid Paczka and three-bet to 3,000 on the button. Paczka wasted little time before four-betting to 9,000 and that shut down all further action.

Robert Schulz opened to 1,000 as well and faced a three-bet to 3,000 by Sander van Wesemael on the button. Erez Hamerov called in the big blind, as did Schulz, and Hamerov announced a check in the dark. The following flop of {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} was checked by all three players before the action checked to van Wesemael on the {9-Hearts} turn. The Dutchman bet 4,500 and Schulz was the only caller before the German check-folded the {2-Diamonds} river when facing a bet of 9,200.

Double-Double!

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Erez Hamerov
Erez Hamerov

Erez Hamerov opened from under the gun and Vojtech Ruzicka three-bet from middle position. The action folded back around to Hamerov who moved all-in and Ruzicka quickly called. Hamerov tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Ruzicka showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Hamerov found a double up to move over starting stack.

In the next hand, Maxim Lykov got all of his chips in the middle against Fahredin Mustafov on a flop reading {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Lykov was ahead with {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} up against Mustafov's {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The turn was the {j-Clubs} and the river landed the {2-Hearts}, giving Lykov a full double up as well.

Ensan Caught with Fingers in Cookie Jar

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

On the {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} turn, Hossein Ensan bet 3,300 into a pot of 4,800 out of the big blind and Vadzim Lipauka raised to 7,150 on the button. Ensan clicked it back up to 20,000 and Lipauka gave him a stare down before calling.

The {J-Spades} appeared on the river and Ensan bet 20,000 right away with about as many chips behind. Lipauka tanked for a long time and the clock was called on him. As soon as the tournament director arrived at the table, Lipauka called and Ensan immediately sent his cards into the muck to forfeit more than two third of his stack without showdown.

A Fourth Table Opens

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Mike Brandau registered and players were moved to a new fourth table to balance the growing field with 25 entries. Brandau was in the big blind first and faced a raise to 1,100 by Michal Ozimek and a three-bet by Felipe Ramos to 3,300 in the cutoff. Brandau initially tossed in a single chip to call Ozimek's raise before realizing the mistake and apologized with the words "I am not here yet, just arrived."

Ozimek and Ramos didn't object and it was just the player from Poland who called and checked the {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop. Ramos checked back before the {K-Clubs} turn was followed by a check of Ozimek, a bet of 5,000 by Ramos and a fold of the Pole.

Quiet Please, Pierre's Bluffing!

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

With around 8,000 in the middle before any community cards were seen, Pierre Neuville was heads-up with Markus Kuhnen. The dealer fanned the flop of {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Neuville led out for 3,000 from middle position. Kuhnen called on the button and the {q-Clubs} fell on the turn.

Neuville fired again, for 7,000 this time. Kuhnen was taking his time with his decision, while Fabrice Halleux was having a conversation with a friend on the rail.

"Shhhh, s'il vous plait," Neuville said to Halleux, meaning "Quiet, please," in French. Kuhnen mucked his cards and Neuville tabled {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} while he scooped another pot.

Lykov and Hamerov Chop

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Maxim Lykov
Maxim Lykov

On the {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} turn, Erez Hamerov and Maxim Lykov both invested 5,000 and the {9-Hearts} river completed a straight on the board. Hamerov checked and Lykov moved all in for just 6,025. While not being pleased with that, Hamerov eventually called and Lykov showed the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, he was playing the board. Hamerov had turned a straight with {Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and they chopped it up.

Hamerov Gets Short

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

In a three-bet pot to the flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Pierre Neuville bet 2,500 and Michael Sklenicka called to see the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. Neuville now bet 4,000 and that forced a fold from Sklenicka.

One table over, Erez Hamerov bet the {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} turn for 1,200 and Felipe Ramos called. The duo checked the {Q-Hearts} on the river and Hamerov showed {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a busted straight draw. Ramos had that beat with {9-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a pair of sevens and won the pot.
