Ivan Baric opened to 3,500 from under the gun and was called in four spots, including Georgi Dangel directly to his left. The flop came and both blinds checked to Baric who continued for 7,500. Dangel raised to 35,000 and the action was folded back to Baric. He made the call to go heads-up to the turn.

Some two dozen players have been eliminated in the first half an hour on Day 2 and among those were also Ricardo Chauriye, Marius-Alexandru Gicovanu and Georges Chehade. The tournament screens show 264 players remaining while the King's Big Stack Side Event has also restarted with more than 150 hopefuls in contention.

Phil Hellmuth scored an early double, as did Rakesh Lalwani, while big stack Alfred Nader has been eliminated. Nader lost a big portion of his stack against Jose Ponce when he paid off the bet of 46,500 by Ponce on the river of a board and mucked after Ponce flashed for a full house.
Nader's stack was more than halved after that and he busted soon after.
There was a raise to 3,500 from early position and Piotr Wiecek three-bet to 9,200 from the hijack. Vitaly Lunkin was on the button and moved all-in for 46,400. The initial raiser asked for a count but eventually folded and Wiecek instantly called.
