Savinelli Closes In on 2 Million

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Carlo Savinelli
Carlo Savinelli

The action was folded to Jan Juzek on the button who ripped all of his 380,000 in the middle. Carlo Savinelli looked down at his cards in the big blind and quickly made the call. Juzek tabled {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} but was dominated by Savinelli's {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} giving Juzek some chop outs. The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} pairing Savinelli's jack and Juzek was drawing dead to the {q-Clubs} on the river.

With only 24 players remaining, there will now be a table redraw for new seating assignments.

Van Tiep Nguyen
Van Tiep Nguyen

The "run like god mode" of Viktor Kovachev continues to work like a charm. Van Tiep Nguyen four-bet all in for almost 800,000 and Kovachev quickly called.

Van Tiep Nguyen: {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Viktor Kovachev: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Nguyen's two pair were no good anymore on the river, as Kovachev spiked the set to further build his massive lead.

Schulz Gets Counterfeit

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Richard Schulz
Richard Schulz

With around 100,000 in the middle, the dealer fanned the flop of {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Robert Schulz checked from the big blind and Ivan Kruljac bet 38,000 on the button. Schulz check-raised to 111,000 and Kruljac called to see the {a-Hearts} on the turn.

Schulz moved all-in for around 220,000 and Kruljac snapped him off. Schulz tabled {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for two pair on the flop while Kruljac had just one pair with {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The river brought a devastating {a-Diamonds}, counterfeiting Schulz's two pair and sending the pot to Kruljac. For Schulz, who was contending in the Player of the Series race, it was a cruel way to end his Main Event hopes.

Okropiridze: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Kuhle: {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Juzek Doubles; Sikora Busts

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On the outer table, Jan Juzek three-bet all in from the small blind for 13 big blinds with the {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Stefan Mital called from the button with {A-}{8-}. The board came {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the kicker played.

Over on the feature table, short stack Jaroslaw Sikora was all in and at risk with the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and dominating chip leader Viktor Kovachev put him at risk with the superior {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Sikora was left drawing dead on the turn of a board {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} to hit the rail in 30th place.

Battle of the Blinds Goes to Mital

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The action was folded around to Maciej Kondraszuk in the small blind who raised to 45,000. Stefan Mital called from the big blind and the flop came {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Kondraszuk continued for 50,000 and Mital made the call.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} and Kondraszuk fired another 75,000. Mital raised to 200,000 and Kondraszuk shoved all-in for 298,000. Mital hesitated but then called and the cards were tabled. Kondraszuk flopped two pair with {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} but Mital turned him with {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. The river was the {5-Spades} and Mital's two pair were better than Kondraszuk's, eliminating another player in the first level.

Viktor Kovachev

Aliaksandr Shylko: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Viktor Kovachev: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
