Antonius Krijn had bet 5,200 and Petr Muchacek in the small blind raised to 10,300.

There was already 10,000 in the pot and action was back on Krijn who gave his opponent a long hard stare. Muchacek seemed not to have a care in the world under the stern examination.

A minute or so ticked by before Krijn let it go.

“Queens?” Muchacek wanted to know but Krijn wasn’t in the mood to discuss the hand.

Scott Robert Wilson vs Makarios Avramidis

Four players saw a flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. It checked to Makarios Avramidis who bet 500. Scott Wilson called and the other two players both folded.

Avramidis checked the {2-Hearts} on the turn and Wilson bet 1,300. Avramidis called.

The river was the {6-Clubs} and Avramidis check-called another bet from his opponent, this time for 2,800. Wilson turned over {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} having flopped a king-high flush and took down the pot.

Mahyar Rezai With Kings

The board read {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Stefano Grandinetti checked to his opponent Mahyar Rezai who bet 1,600.

Grandinetti then check-raised to 3,800 and Rezai called.

The river was the {q-Clubs} and both players checked.

Grandinetti showed {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a missed straight draw, and Rezai won the pot with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Traboulsi All In

Three players took a flop of {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Zeev Krichevskiy bet 2,500. “Is it ok if I call you?” Thomas “The Talk” Traboulsi wanted to know. He got no answer but called and the third player folded.

The turn card was thr {5-Diamonds} and Krichevskiy bet 7,300.

“I’ll make it easy for you. All in,” Traboulsi announced and the triangle was placed in front of him. “Run very quick away and say thank you to me.”

Krichevskiy said nothing but did muck his cards with Traboulsi gathering the pot and claiming he had pocket fives.

Yuksel Tok Eliminated by Johannes Gsuck

Yuksel Tok raised to 200 from under-the-gun and there were four callers including Johannes Gsuck in the small blind.

On a flop of {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} Gsuck bet 800, and there was one caller before Tok raised to 4,500.

It folded back to Gsuck who three-bet to 13,000. The original caller folded and Tok moved all in. Gsuck snap-called.

It was set over set and Tok shook his head as the turn {j-Diamonds} and the river {4-Clubs} were dealt.

Elyahu Braginskyi from Israel had opened the action and Vito Vella defended from the big blind.

The flop was {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and check from Vella saw Braginskyi bet 150. Vella went for a check raise to 400 and Braginskyi called.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Vella led out for 900 which was met by a raise to 2,500 from Braginskyi. Vella called.

The river card was the {5-Clubs} and this time both players checked. Vella showed {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the two pair was good enough to take the pot.

Ladies Day at King’s Casino

There were no women playing Day 1a yesterday but there are already four in the field today including Camilla Reventlow from Denmark who just took down an early pot.

Reventlow bet 1,300 on the turn of a board reading {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and picked up two callers.

The {2-Hearts} completed the board with no further action and when [Removed:528] showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} Reventlow showed her {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to take the pot with a flush.

Tomasz Chmiel Eliminated by Josef Gulas in First Level

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Josef Gulas opened to 150 from the cutoff and was three-bet by Tomasz Chmiel on the button to 575. Gulas four-bet to 1,700 and Chmiel called.

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Gulas continued for 2,000 and Chmiel called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}. Gulas bet 4,500. Chmiel raised to 9,600. Gulas three-bet all in for 26,300 and Chmiel called and was at risk.

Both players had turned straights, but it was Chmiel who was drawing dead with the inferior straight. He stuck around long enough to see the {10-Spades} dealt on the river, and swfitly headed to the exit.
