After 234 entrants took part in Day 1a of the Main Event yesterday, today is the final chance for players to grab their own personal slice of the €1 million guarantee on offer. Players who entered and subsequently re-entered yesterday are still able to enter today, but if they are forced to re-enter again, then they are no long able to buy in at the start of Day 2.
Yesterday it was Lambros Vrakas who soared to the top of the chip counts with 249,500, more than 40,000 chips ahead of second place Grzegorz Idziak. Today players will have twelve 45-minute levels to try and match Vrakas' stack ahead of Day 2, with 15-minute breaks after level 3 and level 9, with a 45-minute dinner break coming at the conclusion of level 6.
