Sidney Steinmann
Sidney Steinmann

The chip leader at the end of the second out of three starting days in the 2018 WSOP International Circuit Holland Casino Rotterdam Main Event is German poker player Sebastian Dornbracht. The German bagged a stack of 131,000 at the end of eight one-hour levels and is leading 53 players to Day 2. Sidney Steinmann (110,700) and Gregor Prizmic-Martini (102,800) round out the top three stacks of Day 1b. WSOPC record holder Valentin Vornicu also made an appearance and made it to Day 2 with 49,100.

Day 1b Action
The tournament kicked off at 1 p.m. local time in the beautiful Holland Casino Rotterdam. The day started with about 35 players registered for the second out of three flights. When registration closed at the end of the sixth level of the day, there were a total of 97 entries, which made for a combined total of day 1a and 1b of 149 entries.

Dornbracht ended the day with the chip lead after spending most of the day staying under the radar. The German player ended up with a big stack of 131,000 and is also the overall chip leader with that stack, beating Marco Rogrigues his 128,000 from Day 1a. Other players that made it through to Day 2 include Marcel Schouten (86,300), Majid Bozakraft (76,500), Dennis Lavrijsen (64,100), and Sander van Wesemael (50,500)

Vornicu also made an appearance and managed to make Day 2 of the tournament. Vornicu is the record holder of most WSOPC rings won. The tournament player told PokerNews he was very excited to be in Rotterdam for the WSOPC. Vornicu made Day 2 with a stack of 49,100 and the dream for a 13th ring is still alive for the American circuit grinder.

Plenty of players gave the tournament a shot and didn’t manage to make it through to the second day. Micha Hoedemaker, Fatima Moreira de Melo, Jack Salter and two-time bracelet winner Mark Radoja all gave it a shot but they came up short. There is however still a shot for those still wanting to make it to Day 2. Day 1c started at 9 p.m. local time and registration of was still open at the end of the second flight.

Day 2 of the tournament will start at 1 p.m. local time with the players of all three starting flights combined. PokerNews will be there from start to finish to report on the action.

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Jack Salter
Jack Salter

Tobias Peters just managed to double through his left-hand neighbor Jack Salter. The cards were already all on the table and it looked like a coinflip preflop.

Salter was playing {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Peters was playing {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and after the dealer counted Peters' stack it was clear that Salter would be left with a very small stack. Peters doubles to 80 big blinds while Salter is left with just 5 big blinds.

Both players checked on the flop, and they checked as well on the {Q-Hearts} turn.
