Lozano Eliminated by Presti

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

The board read {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and the pot was already built up to 5,050 in total.

Guido Presti had checked his small blind and Paul Lozano shoved all in from the big blind for 5,550 in total. Presti considered all his options carefully and then decided to call with the bigger stack.

Lozano showed {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a rivered pair of fives. Presti, however, had him beat with {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the higher pair of eights on the flop. Lozano was sent to the rail.

Some tables further Catalin Pop couldn't be found at his table anymore and we got told by the other players on the table that he was eliminated.

A Double For Gumz

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante
Fabian Gumz
Fabian Gumz

Fabian Gumz has been having a pretty good two weeks here in Rozvadov with six cashes here, including three final tables, during the WSOP International Circuit. In fact, the whole group that is sharing the same Airbnb have been hitting the tables and payout desk for days. Gumz is sharing with Eyal Bensimhon and Jakob Miegel.

Bensimhon won the Deepstack Open for €16,580, came second in the Mini Event for €10,552 and another cash in the Monster Stack. Miegel won the Mini Event for €14,610 besting Bensimhon heads-up.

Gumz had lost some chips after the break but was just involved in a hand:

The player in the under-the-gun position raised to 625. Gumz, in mid-position, raised to 2,000. Action folded back to the under-the-gun player who asked how much Gumz still had. Gumz showed him his stack which was about 9,000. He called.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}, Gumz's opponent checked, Gumz bet 1,550. His opponent put a big stack in to raise, effectively putting Gumz all-in. Gumz snap-called.

Fabian Gumz: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Under-the-gun Player: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The board was completed with the {3-Clubs} on the turn and the {6-Hearts} on the river. Gumz's queens held and he doubled up for the 9,200 he still had behind.

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante
Thomas Hofmann
Thomas Hofmann

The board read {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades} and the pot already contained about 5,000 in it.

The player in the big blind had checked. Thomas Hofmann, sitting in mid-position shoved. The big blind asked how much it was, the dealer confirmed that Hofmann had 1,375 behind. The big blind called. Hofmann tabled {A-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for trip aces and the queen-kicker. The big blind showed {a-Spades} to show he had the ace too and threw his other card over the line. The dealer flipped open the second card to show he had {8-Diamonds} as during all-in and call situations, the hole cards both need to be shown.
