Wilcox Catches Broadway on the River to Snatch a Pot from Sande

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Leonard Sande opened to 25,000 from under the gun and two players called, including Gordon Wilcox who defended his big blind. The dealer spread out {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} on the flop, action checked to Sande who bet 32,000 and only Wilcox called.

The {10-Hearts} peeled off on the turn and both players checked to the {q-Diamonds} river card. Wilcox checked to Sande, he bet 68,000 and Wilcox snap-called.

Sande tabled {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for two pair but it was not good as Wilcox turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for a rivered straight. The defending champ now seats close to the top of the leader board.
