Wazwaz Ends Herstein's Day

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Gary Herstein
Gary Herstein

Gary Herstein jammed for 16,500 from the cutoff, and Rob Wazwaz three-bet to 31,000 in the small blind, chasing out Frank Cerminara in the big blind.

Gary Herstein: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Rob Wazwaz: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Both players found a pair on the {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Spades} flop, but Wazwaz's pair of aces held on the {6-Hearts} turn and {2-Hearts} river.

"Good luck," Herstein said before he left the table, and Wazwaz nodded and said, "I'm sure we'll see ya on Sunday, Gar," referencing tomorrow's remaining Day 1b flight that Herstein is expected to fire.

Ken Baime raised to 5,000 from under the gun, and was called by Keven Stammen in middle position, Frank Cerminara in the small blind, and Janae Magnuson in the big blind.

Action checked over to Stammen on a {4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, and he bet 7,000. Cerminara and Magnuson quickly folded, while Baime shot Stammen a look before letting his hand go, as well.

Wolff's Sevens Hold

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player checked a {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop from under the gun, and Michael Wolff bet 4,500 in the hijack. The under-the-gun check-raised all in for his last 20,000, and Wolff called.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Michael Wolff: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Wolff needed to fade the nut flush draw of his opponent, and did so on a {4-Diamonds} turn and {10-Spades} river to earn the knockout.

Holloway's Kings Earn a Double

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player jammed for 32,000 from under the gun, and Chad Holloway called off his last 25,600 in the hijack.

Chad Holloway: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-}{q-}

Holloway's kings got a little sweat after the {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop gave his opponent a pair of queens and some additional outs, but the {2-Clubs} turn and {2-Hearts} river were safe for Holloway to double.
