Nagar Closing in on Seven Figures

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Landen Lucas was in the cutoff and opened the action with a raise to 36,000. Soumitra Nagar called him from the button, as did Paul Richardson, who defended his big blind.

The three saw a flop of {k-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Richardson checked. Lucas made a continuation-bet of 55,000. Nagar called and Richardson folded, letting the two proceed to the turn {7-Clubs} heads up. Both players then checked.

The river came {q-Spades} and Lucas checked again. Nagar put out a bet of 125,000 ad Lucas quickly sent his cards to the muck.

Fujisaka Doubles Through Shainiuk

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Travis Fujisaka went all in from under the gun for 267,000, and Roman Shainiuk reshoved for around 2,600,000 from the hijack. All other players folded.

Travis Fujisaka: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Roman Shainiuk: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Board: {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The pocket jacks held up for Fujisaka, and he's back up over the 30 big blind mark. Shainiuk still sits on a massive stack as Level 22 closes out.

Stuart Tuvey Eliminated in 15th Place ($7,650)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Stuart Tuvey
Stuart Tuvey

Stuart Tuvey went all in from early position and action folded around to Paul Chai, who was in the small blind. Chai asked for a count, which was totaled to be 132,000.

"Raise!" he then announced, throwing out three newly-added pink T100,000 chips, coming over the top for 308,000 due to the 8,000 he had in the pot from his small blind. He cleared the way and hands were tabled.

Stuart Tuvey: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Paul Chai: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"You're way behind!" said Chai in a friendly manner as the two hands were visible on the felt.

"Not way behind," objected Tuvey. His statement was true but not for long as the flop came {9-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Though it gave him an open-ended straight draw, Chai now had top pair, top kicker and had increased his equity in the hand as a result.

"Black card," said Chai as the turn came {2-Clubs}.

"Pair the board," he added before the river fell {j-Spades}.

With both of his wishes fulfilled, Tuvey found himself with the second-best hand and tapped the felt, exchanging mutual wishes of a well-played tournament as he stood up and received a payout slip.

Richardson Finds a Double

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Terence Reardon was in early position and opened to 40,000. Action folded around to Paul Richardson, who went all in for 293,000 from the small blind. Roman Shainiuk was in the big blind and shoved over the top, folding out Reardon to create a heads-up runout.

Paul Richardson: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Roman Shainiuk: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Richardson had found a suitor for his cowboys with Shainiuk waking up with ace-king suited behind him. The board ran out in his favor, coming {2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs} to secure the double.

Chai Pressures Hugenberg

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Anthony Hugenberg raised to 35,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Paul Chai, who was in the big blind. Chai three-bet to 116,000, sending Hugenberg into the tank. Eventually, he peeled to see postflop action.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Chai checked. Hugenberg checked behind. The turn fell {j-Diamonds} and Chai immediately announced he was all in, effectively shoving for Hugenberg's stack of just under a half-million.

Hugenberg folded and Chai took down the pot.

Kelsey Hendricks Eliminated in 17th Place ($6,351)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Kelsey Hendricks
Kelsey Hendricks

Anthony Hugenberg was in middle position and raised to 35,000. He was three-bet by Noel Rodriguez to 90,000 from the hijack. Action folded around to Kelsey Hendricks, who announced he was all in, cold four-betting from the big blind for his last 380,000 or so. Hugenberg folded and Rodriguez quickly called.

Kelsey Hendricks: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Noel Rodriguez: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to leave Hendricks drawing to running wheel outs to chop or running Broadway outs to double. The turn {8-Spades} left him drawing dead and the river {4-Hearts} finished the runout, resulting in Hendricks' elimination from the tournament in 17th place.

With two eliminations on Table 2, Arish Nat has now been moved to Table 2, Seat 5; the seat formerly occupied by Hendricks.

Calvin Liu Eliminated in 18th Place ($6,351)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Calvin Liu
Calvin Liu

Calvin Liu and Bobby Pham got all of the chips in preflop, with Pham having Liu covered.

Calvin Liu: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Bobby Pham: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Board: {q-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Spades}

Liu turned a set of threes, but the {a-Spades} on the river gave Pham, the better full house, sending Liu home in 18th place.
