A New Champion Will Be Crowned in the Choctaw Durant Main Event Today

The final day of the World Series of Poker Circuit Choctaw Durant $1,700 Main Event is set to kick-off at noon! The tournament has 17 players returning to battle it out for the $256,951 first-place prize, and the eventual champion will also be adding a shiny new WSOPC ring to their resume.

Returning as the chip leader is two-time Circuit ring winner Nathanael Kogel who won his first two in this very building just two years ago and will look to add another with his 3,660,000 chip stack.

Coming in hot on Kogel's tail is another two-time ring winner Dave Alfa. Alfa won his first two rings earlier this year in January here at Choctaw and is looking for another Main Event title.

Sitting third in chips is a relatively new Circuit player Jesus Martinez brining a 3,110,000 stack into the final day. Behind Martinez is WSOP bracelet winner Kevin Eyster who will look to add a fifth ring to his collection with 2,810,000 chips. Rounding out the top five is Marquis McCain with 2,500,000.

Final Day Schedule

Final day action is set to start at noon today with blinds starting level 26 where blinds are 20,000/40,000/40,000. The levels will remain 60 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every two levels of play and a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 31. The tournament will not stop until a winner is crowned, taking home the $256,915 first-place prize, along with a shiny new WSOP circuit ring and an automatic seat into the GCC.
