While PokerNews is here offering live updates from the Main Event and High Roller, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about the full schedule of side events that have been playing out over the past week at the World Series of Poker Circuit Choctaw Durant.

In Event #2: $400 NLH Double Stack, 278 runners created a $91,740 prize pool that was paid out to the top 42 players. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Patrick Cantrell (10th - $1,402), Megan Moore (16th - $977), Cole Sudeck (28th - $616), Trevor Hempel (36th - $562), and Allen Kessler (41st - $557).

In the end, Andy Robinson bested Laura Curry in heads-up play to win the title and $21,263 first-place prize. It marked his seventh career gold ring and third at Choctaw Durant.

“I mean, I’ve played with all these people before and I think they are really good, but I trust myself,” Robinson said of the tough final table.

Of his heads-up opponent, he added: “She’s very aggressive. I mean, she’s tough to play against. Most people are much more passive.”
