Flopped Top Pair Holds for Altman

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

On a board of {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and roughly 8,400 in the middle Brian Altman faced a check-raise to 12,000 after betting 6,000 which he called fairly quickly.

The river got checked through on the {a-Diamonds} and his opponent announced 'missed' as he tabled {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Altman tabled the flopped top pair with {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} to be awarded the pot.

Champlin Calls With Top Pair

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Four players were at the turn on a board that read {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The first player to act bet 1,500 and Spencer Champlin called after the other two players folded.

The river came the {7-Spades}. The first player led out with a bet of 5,000 which Champlin called after a couple of seconds.

Champlin turned over the {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for top pair which was good enough to take down the pot.

Bunce Survives a Flip to Stay Alive

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

After a couple of raises preflop, Daniel Bunce had found himself at risk for all of his 15,200 stack against the small blind and both hands were tabled.

Small blind: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Daniel Bunce: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}

"That was what I was hoping for," said Bunce.

It was a race and the board ran out {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for Bunce's pocket threes to hold and seal his double.

Roller Coaster Hand for Schneider

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

The action began with a player in early position raising to 1,300 which was called by a player in middle position before Zachery Schneider three-bet to 5,000 from the small blind. The big blind quickly folded and the early position player moved all-in for 8,000 which caused the middle position to fold and Schneider quickly called.

Early position: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Zachery Schneider: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Schneider was behind to his opponent's pocket kings but that changed quickly when the flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} giving him a pair of aces. The turn, however, was the {k-Clubs} giving his opponent a set but the {10-Spades} on the river made Schneider a Broadway straight to scoop the pot and eliminate his opponent.

Jamal Launches on River

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

Action was picked up on the board that read {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Kamran Jamal made a meaty bet of 20,000 into a pot that was about half that size. His opponent checked his cards and thought a while before folding.

"Show the {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}" said one of his table mates with a smile but Jamal did not such thing and quietly took in the pot.
