Begovic Soars to the Top

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Amar Begovic limped in on the button and Petr Setka raised to 5,200 in the small blind. Ingo Paulus folded his big blind and Begovic took a few seconds before making the call.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, Setka continued with a bet of 6,200 and Begovic responded with a raise to 21,200. This sent Setka into the tank and after a while, he decided to put in a big stack of chips and announced he was all-in. Begovic snap-called with {9-Spades}{8-Hearts} for the flopped straight while Setka held {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for the overpair.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} which now gave Setka the nines as an out to stay alive and double up but the river brought them the {q-Hearts} which didn't change things. Setka nodded and quietly made his way out of the tournament area.
