The Defending Champion Enters the Main Event

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Martin Kabrhel won the previous edition of the WSOP International Circuit here in Rozvadov a bit more than 6 months ago and has now taken his seat at the table to take his shot at defending the title.

Pierre Neuville: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Adrian Strobel: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for Strobel to turn a pair of kings and improve to trips on the river to eliminate Neuville from the Main Event for today.

Peretz Doubles Up

Level 8 : 300/700, 700 ante

The board read {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} with a small pot brewing already.

Yaniv Peretz bet 6,500 from under the gun and was raised to 17,000 by Ittai Gluska on the button. Peretz responded with a shove for 68,200 in total which Gluska called almost instantly. Gluska tabled {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for the straight but Peretz held {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the nut-flush for Gluska to be drawing dead.

Gluska got up from his seat immediately after seeing the cards.

The river completed the board with the {a-Spades} as a formality. Gluska started making his way away from the poker table but was stopped as he had Peretz covered. In the end, Gluska was left with 9,000.

Yakunin Finds a Double-Up

Level 8 : 300/700, 700 ante

Ilya Yakunin had the all-in button in front of him with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} still showing on the {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} board. Jaromir Hanel was seen paying the double-up but his hole cards were already in the muck.

Paulus Adds More Chips to His Stack

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

The board read {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and Ingo Paulus had bet 5,000 from the middle position after Ihor Yerofieiev had checked his small blind. Yerofieiev made the call to see the {q-Hearts} complete the board on the river.

Both players checked and Yerofieiev tabled {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the pair of sevens. Paulus looked at the board and quickly turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for the higher pair to scoop the pot.
