Makavets Doubles Through Zoufri

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Abdelhakim Zoufri and Andrei Makavets were heads-up in the blinds with Makavets all-in for 102,500 and Zoufri had him covered. According to one of the players, there was a raise, a three-bet, a four-bet, a five-bet shove, and a call in the end.

Andrei Makavets: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Abdelhakim Zoufri: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} which caused Makavets to fist pump as a celebration a few times while he secured his double-up.

Lalos Dominates But Loses

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Sasa Lalos was left with 40,000 chips and found a spot to put them in the middle from the big blind against Giuseppe Rago's open from the button. Rago called and Lalos was looking good to double up.

Sasa Lalos: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Giuseppe Rago: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

The flop was decisive for the hand, with the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts} giving the lead to Rago. The {7-Clubs} on the turn and the {4-Hearts} on the river didn't change anything and Lalos departed from the event.
