Kalkan Into the Lead

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The board read {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} with about 120,000 in the middle and Ismail Kalkan checked his big blind. Pierre Christensen did the same from mid-position.

The river completed the board with the {7-Clubs} and they both checked again. Kalkan picked up the pot with {k-Spades}{8-Spades} and cemented his chip lead even further. Patrice Brandt is on the same table and is also sporting a stack of over a million.

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Farukh Tach has just been eliminated by Daniel Aixa when Aixa shoved from the button with {3-}{3-} and Tach held {q-}{q-} in the big blind and called with the shorter stack of 146,000.

The board ran out {3-}{2-}{9-}{9-}{6-} to give Aixa the full house to send Tach to the rail. Shortly after, Aixa himself was also eliminated.

Putz Puts His Foot Down

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Christopher Putz was sitting on a significantly bigger stack compared to the start of the day. The Fuchsbau team member was kind enough to tell the live reporting team what had happened.

At the end of the previous level, Mikkel Goeth raised to 16,000 from the small blind and Christopher Putz defended his big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{5-}{3-Hearts}, Goeth check-raised Putz's bet of 13,000 to 40,000 and Putz called.

The turn brought them the {k-Clubs}, Goeth now shoved for around 175,000 and Putz tanked. The clock was called and Putz called.

Mikkel Goeth: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Christopher Putz: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Goeth had a flush draw and turned a pair of kings but Putz had flopped a pair of aces.

The river was a {5-Clubs} and Goeth was eliminated.

Smiljkovic Takes One

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The board read {q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} with around 100,000 in the middle already.

Daniel Smiljkovic bet 55,000 from the small blind and Shota Sakandelia was in the tank in the big blind. After a while, Petr Hora called the clock on him. The floor came over and gave Sakandelia 30 seconds to take a decision. The floor counted all the way down and Sakandelia's hand was declared dead.
