$3,250 High Roller 8-Max
Day 1 Completed
The first day of Event #9: $3,250 High Roller 8-Max saw a total of 95 entry slips sold and by nights end only 42 remained at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with Jamey Kramer leading the way.
Kramer started to climb early in the day but it was not until after the dinner break that he jumped into the lead, a place in which he did not fall from as he finished atop the leaderboard with his 284,000 stack. Closest behind Kramer on the totem pole is Jason Daly who will be entering the final day with 187,500.
Rounding out the top five are John Dollinger (165,500), Russell Jaicks (163,000), and Jake Schwartz (160,500). Dollinger sits third overall on the leaderboard and is surely someone to watch tomorrow. The Gulf Breeze, FL, native is coming off a career-high cash just last month for $311,751 and will be looking to add another feat to his resume tomorrow.
Some notable players that are headed into Day 2 include Michael Rossitto (146,000), Faraz Jaka (124,500), Gary Lucci (122,500), Stephen Song (120,500), Brett Apter (113,500), Mukul Pahuja (89,500), Brock Wilson (73,500), Alex Rocha (69,000), and Brian Altman (66,500).
The 42 survivors from today will most likely not be the number headed into the final day as any player without a chip has until the start of play tomorrow to register. All players will be returning at 2 p.m. local time to battle it down to a winner, taking down the first-place money along with a shiny new WSOP Circuit ring.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing all of the coverage throughout the remainder of the event, so stay tuned as all of the action unfolds.

The completed board had face up and action had checked to Stephen Song who pushed in 78,000, leaving himself just a couple thousand behind.
His opponent thought for several moments, ultimately they folded and Song took down the monstrous pot late in the day.

A player opened to 2,800 from middle position, Jack Russell called in the hijack and Jamey Kramer called in the cutoff. Loni Harwood three-bet to 15,000 from the button and only Russell called.
The dealer fanned out on the flop and both players checked to the turn card. Russell bet 25,000 and Harwood swiftly called to see the river card.
Both players checked and Russell turned over , giving him a pair of aces which was good enough as Harwood sent her hand into the muck, shipping the pot to Russell.
