Siemienas Takes From Chip Leader Altman

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Brian Altman, who has been on a tear since the break, raised to 4,500 from the cutoff, and Gerald Siemienas called in the big blind.

Siemienas check-called a bet of 4,000 from Altman on the {5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, and both players checked the {3-Clubs} turn.

The {j-Diamonds} fell on the river, and Siemienas bet 10,000. Altman folded, and Siemienas flashed the {a-Spades} as he collected the pot. Despite the setback, Altman sits with more than 300,000 and the current chip lead.

Hanson Fades a Big Draw For a Double

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Hanson raised to 5,000 from the cutoff, and Richard Bai called in the big blind.

Bai checked the {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} flop to Hanson, who bet 10,000. Bai check-raised all in, and Hanson called off his last 37,000 total.

Michael Hanson: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Richard Bai: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

Hanson held the lead with his pair of kings, but the defending champ Bai held a plethora of outs with his straight and flush draws. The {10-Hearts} turn and {5-Diamonds} river bricked off, and Hanson scored another double.

Rogowski Goes Fishing

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jeff Fielder raised to 6,000 from middle position, and was called by Andy Rogowski in the small blind and Kou Vang in the big blind.

Rogowski ripped his last 22,000 in on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, and both Vang and Fielder quickly folded.

"I got two fishes and one hook!" Rogowski said as he brought in the pot.

"You're too good," Fielder told Rogowski.

Wagner Falls to Zarco

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Larry Wagner checked an {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} board from the big blind, and Javier Zarco bet 18,000 into a pot of 21,000 from under the gun. Wagner tanked for a minute before check-raising all in for 49,000, and Zarco called, leaving himself a single big blind behind.

Larry Wagner: {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Javier Zarco: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Wagner's pair of queens was drawing dead to the set of aces of Zarco, making the {6-Spades} river meaningless.

"You just call, you go broke anyways," Zarco offered to Wagner, who replied with "Good game," before leaving the tournament area.

Johnson Finds a Double Through Blumenthal

Eddie Blumenthal
Eddie Blumenthal

Aaron Johnson raised to 5,000 from the small blind, then snapped off his last 46,000 when Eddie Blumenthal three-bet shoved in the big blind.

Aaron Johnson: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Eddie Blumenthal: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

"One more!" Blumenthal said after the {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board failed to bring him a jack, but no more cards were coming, and instead Johnson doubled up.

Gregg's Kings Take From Thorne

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

James Gregg raised to 7,000 from early position, and September WSOP Circuit Potawatomi Casino Champion Shane Thorne called on the button.

Gregg bet 8,500 on the {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, and Thorne called.

Gregg fired a second barrel of 16,000 on the {5-Spades} turn, and Thorne folded. Gregg flashed {k-}{k-} before raking in the pot.
