Meet the Players

With over 100 big blinds, chip leader Besnik Lalinovci is virtually guaranteed to get the biggest poker score of his career. The Kosovan who now makes Switzerland his home had his biggest previous win at the 2015 Swiss Poker Championships at Baden for 15,640 SFr ($17,094).

The Final Nine at King's Resort

The last Czech standing Lukas Zaskodny is no stranger to the feature table at King's. In 2019 he won the PartyPoker Millions Main Event for €906,770. Zaskodny who is currently in seventh place has work to do to challenge for the top prize.

Bursting onto the scene is Israel's Tom Cohen who is making his second major final table at Rozvadov in the space of the year. In September 2021 Cohen won the Dutch Classics Main Event for €83,793. Today he is looking for his first six-figure score.

Two players come to the final table with less than 20 big blinds. Volkan Alkan is the shortest stack with 13 big blinds. He has already guaranteed to make his biggest recorded tournament cash and will be looking to increase this figure.

Vincent De Neve will be starting with 17 big blinds but has experience on the final table in this event. The September 2021 WSOPC event at Rozvadov saw De Neve finish 3rd for €114,709.

Lukas Zaskodny raised to 125,000 from under the gun and Vincent De Neve then three-bet jammed for 770,000 in the small blind. Zaskodny gave it some thought and made the call for almost a third of his stack.

Vincent De Neve: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Lukas Zaskodny: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop gave De Neve top set and Zaskodny had a gutshot. Nothing changed on the blank {5-Spades} turn but the {j-Hearts} river gave Zaskodny the straight, sending De Neve to the rail in 9th place for €14,500.

Rama Mulaj Eliminated in 6th Place (€34,900)

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Rama Mulaj
Rama Mulaj

With the blinds gone up and his short stack still unimproved, Rama Mulaj open-shoved for 1,300,000 from the hijack. Lukas Zaskodny on the button asked for a count to potentially induce action behind and called but the blinds folded.

Rama Mulaj: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Lukas Zaskodny: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop left Mulaj on very thin ice and he was drawing dead on the {4-Clubs} turn, rendering the {4-Spades} river a formality as Zaskodny notched up the fourth elimination in a row. Mulaj has to settle for 6th place, which comes with a payday of €34,900.

Lukas Zaskodny
Lukas Zaskodny

Nedeljko Todorovic with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} bet 350,000 from under the gun and was called by Besnik Lalinovci's {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} in the small blind and Lukas Zaskodny's {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

An action flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} saw no action as all three players checked. The {k-Hearts} allowed Zaskodny to lead out for 450,000. Todorovic made a tight laydown which paved the way for Lalinovci to make a call.

The river brought the case {j-Spades} and a bet of 1.1 million from Zaskodny. Lalinovci called and was verbally aghast when Zaskodny revealed he had a better kicker to beat his trip jacks.
