Borges Pays Off Chochola

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

An already large pot of 1.6 million had developed after Roman Chochola in the big blind and Braz Borges Fagundes Junior in the cutoff. Chochola bet the {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} river for 600,000 and Borges tank-called.

That brought some celebration by Chochola, who revealed the {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a flopped straight to win the pot.

Chochola Doubles Trough Andrian

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

On the two table redraw bubble, Simone Andrian opted to ship it in from the small blind and Roman Chochola called all-in for 980,000 out of the big blind.

Roman Chochola: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Simone Andrian: {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} board kept Chochola in contention and he immediately confirmed that to his local rail.

On the feature table, Antonio Crocetta raised to 110,000 and Michael Ugucctoni defended out of the big blind. On the {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, Ugucctoni bet small for 80,000 and Crocetta jammed for more than 1.1 million.

Ugucctoni went deep into the tank and eventually called with the slightly superior stack.

Antonio Crocetta: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Michael Ugucctoni: {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The {4-Spades} turn left Crocetta with just two outs and he missed them on the {k-Spades} river, departing in 18th place for €8,312.

On the outer tables, Gheorghe Butuc defended the big blind against Roman Chochola and checked the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop. Chochola continued for 125,000 and Butuc then check-raised to 500,000 with 30,000 behind.

Chochola went into the tank and folded to get shown the {10-Diamonds} by Butuc.

Borges Raises the Turn

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Three ways to the {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs} turn, Sharon Sade bet 100,000 out of the small blind and Braz Borges Fagundes Junior raised to 400,000 in the big blind. Claudio Di Giacomo gave it some thought on the button and folded, Sade also let go.

Big Laydown by Ugucctoni

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Albert Hoekendijk defended the big blind with the {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} against the under-the-gun raise of Michael Ugucctoni who held the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Until the {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} river, a pot of 725,000 emerged.

Hoekendijk bet 225,000 with 885,000 behind and Ugucctoni went deep into the tank. Both engaged in table chat and Hoekendijk claimed "it is not possible that you fold ace-queen for 225". But that is excatly what Ugucctoni did after all the chatter.

No Showdowns for Di Giacomo

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On the second outer table, Simone Andrian remains the biggest stack while fellow Italian Claudio Di Giacomo has also chipped up.

He three-bet against Roman Chochola in a battle of the blinds to force a fold.

Up next, Gheorghe Butuc raised and Di Giacomo flatted on the button. The {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop brought a check by Butuc and Di Giacomo bet 130,000 to win the pot uncontested.

The Action Slows Down for Now

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

After the recent madness on the outer tables, it has finally slowed down.

Feyzullah Karaarslan lost a chunk of his stack but remains the runaway chip leader. Martin Paap chipped up when he pipped Simone Miracoli in a medium-sized pot in which Paap's {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} made superior two pair versus {k-Spades}{3-Spades} on the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-}{a-Hearts} board.
