Naim Doubles Through Dula

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A squeeze to 25,000 was in front of Dalibor Dula in the under-the-gun position. The action was back on Gal Naim, who then pushed all-in for 57,900. Dula was in the tank for a while before he sigh-called.

"Ace queen?" Naim instantly asked and Dula nodded, flipping over the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Naim was ahead with the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and that remained to be the case on the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} runout.

Strobel Scores a Double

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Petr Targa opened to 2,500 on the button and Adrian Strobel called in the small blind. Aliaksandr Shylko three-bet only for Targa to call. Strobel then pushed for 18,500 and Shylko folded while big stack Targa called.

Adrian Strobel: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Petr Targa: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

There was no miracle upset despite a sweat on the {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} runout as Strobel leaped back to the starting stack. For Targa it was a minor setback as he remains near the top of the leaderboard.

Shiller Is "Done for the Day"

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Brendan Shiller
Brendan Shiller

Heads-up to the {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades} turn, Marek Blasko checked from an early position and then called a bet worth 21,500 by Brendan Shiller. The {7-Spades} on the river was instantly checked behind by Shiller and Blasko tabled the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

"Sorry, I had to do it," Shiller grinned and tabled the {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a pair of fours to win the pot.

"I am done for the day now. I played the king trey and the jack four," the American joked before adding "I told him one orbit ago I was gonna do it."

Tabacaru Loses Some to Vlaic

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Iuliu Vlaic three-bet to 8,000 on the button and Ion Tabacaru as the initial raiser inquired about his stack size before he came along from an early position.

Tabacaru check-called a bet worth 5,000 on the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop and the {j-Hearts} turn was checked. The {5-Hearts} river brought another check-call by Tabacaru for 12,000 and he briefly exposed his cards before mucking to the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for aces full of jacks by his opponent.

"Very cheap", another player at the table remarked. "I think I have to push preflop but he calls," Tabacaru responded.

Orpaz Knocks Out Bahri

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The big blind was sitting out and Tom Orpaz recalled a big hand in which he sent Safwane Bahri to the rail.

According to Orpaz, he min-raised in the small blind and Bahri defended the small blind. On a {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Bahri check-called a min-bet and did so again on the {k-Clubs} turn. The {10-Hearts} river completed the board and Bahri check-raised from 10,000 to 35,000.

Orpaz then tanked for nearly six minutes before pushing all-in. Bahri called with king-ten for two pair only to run into {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for the broadway straight.

Desset Among Recent Casualties

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andrej Desset was on his way out after being unable to run up a shorter stack and Manoe Betrix also had his cards mucked already. Iuliu Vlaic essentially tripled with {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a flopped set which then made a winning flush on the {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Spades} runout.
