Mauerhoff No More

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Uwe Mauerhoff was all-in for a short stack of just 7,300 and Florian Bilan looked him up with the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. The shortie put his hopes on {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} and {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} board sent the chips over to Bilan.

Blasko Doubles Through Korniienko

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Marek Blasko
Marek Blasko

Marek Blasko had opened and Roman Korniienko three-bet to 4,200. Blasko then four-bet only for Korniienko to five-bet shove and get snap-called by Blasko.

Marek Blasko: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Roman Korniienko: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

There was not much of a sweat on the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts} board as Blasko doubled for 46,700.

Hanel Felted by Rodriguez Lamas

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Jaromir Hanel
Jaromir Hanel

In a preflop all-in contest, Jaromir Hanel got the last 17,100 in and vaulted out of his seat when facing David Rodriguez Lamas.

Jaromir Hanel: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
David Rodriguez Lamas: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} flop changed nothing yet but Hanel improved on the {k-Hearts} turn. However, there was another twist to the coin flip as the {q-Spades} river gave Rodriguez Lamas a straight for the knockout.

Madsen Takes a Hefty Hit

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Jakob Madsen
Jakob Madsen

By the time the cards were flipped over, there had already been around 35,000 chips in the middle. Vasyl Pidhrushnyi had the best of it with {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a flopped full house on {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Jakob Madsen had two outs with his {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} but those vanished instantly when the {5-Spades} turn improved Pidhrushnyi to quads.

A meaningless {8-Hearts} river left Madsen with a severe short stack. "Good flop, the turn was okay," Pidhrushnyi said with a smile on the face.

Assorted Stack Sizes After Dinner

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Evis Takes One Off Gumz

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Buelent Evis three-bet to 4,600 before the flop and was called by Fabian Gumz as the duo headed to the {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop. The continuation bet worth 6,600 followed and Gumz came along.

After the {8-Clubs} turn, Evis bet another 10,500 and that won the pot right there.

Wieckenberg and Olesen Even in Chips

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

A near pot-sized bet by Kian Olesen on the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} river was paid off by Jan Wieckenberg, who was shown the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the top pair. However, Wieckenberg had that beat with the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a set and that won the pot as both stack sizes were essentially even after the hand.

Kaimakamis Catches Covaciu Bluffing

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Joining the heads-up turn of {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Vangelis Kaimakamis checked his option out of the big blind. Paul Covaciu bet 6,000 and picked up a call.

The same procedure repeated on the {4-Hearts} turn for another 7,000, albeit reluctantly by Kaimakamis. Covadiu tabled the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for a busted gutshot and the Greek won the pot with {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}.
