Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

"Good luck," Colavita said to his opponent on the other side of the table to which Alexey Mishuk replied "you don't need it".

The action started with a raise to 11,000 by Frantisek Jirout and Levente Pal called. Zhong Chen moved all-in for 57,000 and both opponents came along. On the {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Pal bet 71,000 when checked to and then folded when Jirout pushed all-in.

Zhong Chen: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Frantisek Jirout: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {q-Hearts} turn gave Chen some more outs but he missed them all on the {3-Spades} river.

Kondraszuk Bad Beats Falocco

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Maciej Kondraszuk
Maciej Kondraszuk

Antonio Falocco had the best of it when he this time looked up a preflop with the dreadful {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, which he had let go of not that long ago.

This time, he was ahead versus Maciej Kondraszuk and his {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

However, that all changed on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop when Kondraszuk struck gold with the set. Falocco banged his hand on the table after the {k-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river nearly cut his below average stack into half, forking over 76,000 to Kondraszuk.

Veletanlic Near the Top of the Leaderboard

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mirza Veletanlic
Mirza Veletanlic

Sweden's Mirza Veletanlic was a bigger stack almost all day and consistently added chips to a growing tower. Among his most recent victims was Adrian Strobel earlier in the level when Veletanlic flopped the nuts with {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} on a {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} board. Strobel's {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} only flopped a straight draw and bricked off.

Former decent stack Michal Mrakes was spotted on his way out and it was Pasquale Di Ceglie that had finished the job when two short stacks got it in.

Lars Kamphues: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Murat Yasa: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop vaulted Kamphues into the lead, which he retained thanks to the {10-Diamonds} turn and {5-Clubs} river.

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Alaettin Keles

In a preflop raising war, the chips went into the middle of the table between Iman Ghashayar and Alaettin Keles with the latter as the player at risk.

Alaettin Keles: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Iman Ghashayar: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

There was no upset in the cards on the {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board as Keles became the next casualty. "I also had aces the last time," Ghashayar told him on the way out of the tournament area.
