Waheed Ashraf had doubled through Marius Gicovanu to leave the Romanian on fumes and the next hand on their table then featured a raise by Ido Aboudi and a big blind defend by Samuel Tebege.
On the flop, Tebege check-called once and did so again for 150,000 on the turn for 150,000. Both checked the river and Tebege tabled the , which Aboudi had beat with the for superior two pair.
Matthew Bushell raised to 45,000 and Fabio Pilato then pushed all-in for 305,000 on the button. The initial raiser sighed, then folded with the words "if you had 250k, I would call".

One table over, a battle of the blinds brought a double up for Ido Aboudi through Waheed Ashraf, who had his cards mucked already.
According to Aboudi, Ashraf raised to 45,000 and Aboudi called, then did so again for 55,000 on the flop. On the turn, Ashraf jammed and Aboudi called with the for the nuts.
Ashraf only had and the river was a blank.
"Nice time to play nine seven ... especially when I have ace nine," Ashraf indeed said in table chat upon completion of the hand.
On a board of , Andrea Sirigu in the big blind had check-called at least one barrel by Georgios Tsouloftas on the button already. He then checked the final street and Tsouloftas pushed all-in with the covering stack.
Sirigu carefully counted his remaining chips and then announced the call, which was verified twice by the dealer and Tsouloftas due to the Italian accent. Tsouloftas then rolled over the for a bluff gone wrong and Sirigu doubled for 500,000 with for flopped two pair.
At the same time, Aleksandar Tomovic lost a duel of short stacks to Dorian Melchers and headed to the payout desk.
The action kicked off with a raise to 40,000 by Lars Kamphues and Nicola Angelini then three-bet to 275,000 with one single T-5,000 chip behind. Kamphues moved all-in once it folded to him and the Italian called.

The flop improved Angelini right away, who retained the lead on the turn and river.
Renat Bohdanov raised from an early position to get called by Elias Abou Saleh in the big blind, the latter of which check-raised the flop. Bohdanov called and both had near identical stacks to the turn.
Saleh now pushed all-in and Bohdanov eventually called it off.

The river was a blank and both stacks were counted. Saleh's 420,000 covered Bohdanov by a mere 15,000 and the former chip leader crashed out.
Within just one minute, three players were eliminated and that brought the field down to just 46 players. That included Yuriy Godlevskiy and Tudor Popa.
Piotr Kruze got his short stack in with the and was ahead against Ido Aboudi, who tabled the . The superior kicker remained in the lead on the flop but the turn improved Aboudi, a blank came on the river.
Moments later, Christian Berg pushed a short stack of 275,000 in the cutoff and Hans Kersebom reluctantly called in the small blind.

The flop kept Berg ahead but he then simply shook the head on the turn when Kersebom improved. Nothing changed on the river and that spelled the end for Berg, too.
