Miron Needs to Hold

Renmei Liu opened to 30,000 from middle position before the action folded all the way to Eric Miron in the big blind who went into the tank. After a moment he announced he was all in for his last 173,000. Liu instantly asked for a count. After the dealer finished up he flicked in a call and it was a race.

Miron needed to hold to stay alive but lucky for him, there was basically no sweat. The dealer fanned out the 9♠5♥5♣ flop and Miron jumped into a commanding lead. Liu was drawing dead on the Q♠ turn and the 7♠ river was irrelevant.

Miron scooped and now has a healthy stack but Liu only took a small hit and he still sits with over 500,000.

The action was opened under the gun to 26,000 by Shawn Daigle before getting called by Shane Brotherwood in middle position and the big blind.

The 9♠2♣6♦ flop landed and the action checked to Daigle who continued for 33,000. Only Brotherwood called.

The 6♥ rolled off on the turn and the action quickly checked through to a 3♠ river.

It checked to Brotherwood who sat in the tank for a moment before putting out a bet of 40,000. Daigle quickly folded and the chips were pushed to Brotherwood.

There was an early position limp followed by a raise to 65,000 in middle position by Richard Roth. The next player to act was David Poirier who went into the tank and then announced he was all in for 180,000. It folded back to Roth who quickly called and the cards hit their backs.

The 3♣8♠5♥ flop landed and the kings were looking good. The 4♦ turn was looking good but the 2♣ river gave Poirier the wheel and the win. He scooped but Roth still has plenty of chips.

The action folded all the way around to Shaan Siddiqui in the small blind who thought for a moment before moving all in while covering the big blind. That big blind player was Vasilios Gerontakos who didn't take long to call and the cards hit their backs.

The full board ran out 5♥Q♦5♦9♠9♣ and with top pair, Siddiqui sent Gerontakos to the rail.

The very next hand it folded to the cutoff who moved all in for his last 50,000. Siddiqui quietly called before the rest of the players folded. The cards hit their backs and the news wasn't good for the cutoff.
