Bedell, Shylko and Barbero Among Nine Finalists of WSOP Circuit Madrid Main Event
The final table of the World Series of Poker Circuit Madrid Main Event is set at Casino Gran Vía! Out of 918 entries, which generated a €1,164,942 prize pool, only nine players remain in contention for the €207,000 top prize, a WSOP Circuit ring and a $5,000 package for the upcoming WSOP Paradise.
And what a lineup we have for this final table, with several high-stakes regulars still in contention. Yet Netherland's Jay Hoebe has been the one setting the pace so far. He secured a massive double-up with a full house on the river late on Day 2 to take a commanding chip lead and he will enter the final day with 12,260,000, a quarter of the chips in play.
He is followed by Cesar Montanes Alonso, who scored the final elimination of Day 2 to finish with 6,525,000, just ahead of Tom-Aksel Bedell, who bagged 5,520,000.

Shylko held the chip lead for most of Day 2 before bagging 30 big blinds, while Barbero started the day with the largest stack of all but now finds himself at the bottom of the counts with 2,430,000.
These two players will be ones to watch, alongside poker reporter Fausto Munz (5,170,000), who has crossed over to the other side of the table to battle against the players he normally writes about.
Luca Zapatero Martin stayed focused after losing a big pot to Hoebe, holding on to 4,445,000 until the end. The same goes for Per Hildebrand, who finished with 3,160,000, followed by Cristobal Ochoa Aguilera with 2,630,000.
