Friedman Gains Some Ground

Four players saw an {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} flop. It was checked to the player in seat 2, who bet 1,400. Adam Friedman, in the small blind, was the only caller. The {K-Diamonds} turn card was checked and the river was the {3-Clubs}. Friedman checked and seat 2 bet 1,500. Friedman called and showed {A-Spades} {7-Spades}. His opponent mucked.

Adam Friedman now sits with 21,000.

Not Gold, Jerry, Not Gold

Adam Friedman raises to 1,550 and Jerry Martin calls. Three other players also call.

The flop is {7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Adam checks. Jerry bets 2,600. Seat 5 is the only caller.

The turn is {K-Diamonds} and Jerry bets 3,700. Seat 5 raises to 12,000 and Jerry folds. He's back down to 30,500.

Gold, Jerry, Gold

On a flop of {J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, three players check including Jerry Martin and David Dao. The turn is {3-Hearts} and Martin bets 2,500. Dao calls and a player in seat 4 calls.

The river is {K-Hearts} and it's checked to Seat 4 who bets 5,500. Martin calls and Dao lays down {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} face up. "That's the best hand," Adam Friedman predicts. He is correct, as Martin shows {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Seat 4 shows {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Martin wins the pot and Dao slams his hat down in frustration.

Martin is up to 36,200.

Len Ashby Takes the Chip Lead

Len Ashby just won a crucial hand and has now taken the chip lead.

He flopped an open-ended straight draw and check-raised all in for 20,000 roughly. His opponent called with top pair, but Ashby made a straight on the turn and now sits with 67,000 in chips.

After the hand, Ashby said he'll never play a bad hand again.

Sapp Capped

Bryan "Squirrely1" Sapp keeps getting involved in big pots, and we keep posting 'em.

An opponent raises to 12,000 and Sapp calls.

They check a flop of {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}. The turn is {4-Spades} and Sapp checks. The opponent bets 2,000 and Sapp calls.

The river is {2-Hearts} and Sapp leads out for 3,500. The opponent calls. "Ace high," says Sapp. The opponent has {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and takes it. Sapp is back down to 47,800.

Another One Sapped

Bryan "Squirrely1" Sapp just busted Matt "mattster24" Sterling.

A player on the button raised to 1,125 and Sterling moved all in for 9,000 from the small blind. Sapp then reraised to about 40,000 from the big blind and was able to isolate the action. The hands were:

Sapp: {4-Clubs} {4-Spades}
Sterling: {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}

The board rolled out {2-Spades} {2-Hearts} {3-Spades} {10-Spades} {5-Spades} and Matt Sterling hit the rail.

Bryan "Squirrely1" Sapp now sits with just over 55,000.
