Day 2 Completed

WSOP Circuit: Horseshoe Southern Indiana, End of Day 2

The 27 players that started the day here in Elizabeth, IN flew out of here in blazing speed, and after only 4 hours and 45 minutes, we've arrived at our final table of 9 players.

Among these final 9 are David Kopacz, whose wife went out near the bubble, perennial Circuit regular Dean Schultz, and Jerry Martin, who cashed in this year's WSOP main event.

The chip counts are:

Samuel Oberlin - 229,500
Jamin Stokes - 189,500
Len Ashby - 177,000
David Kopacz - 151,000
Jerry Martin - 139,500
Joey Couden - 128,000
Derek Whelan - 117,500
Dean Schultz - 114,000
Ray Lynn - 17,500

These October Nine will return Tuesday at 2 p.m. to play down to a single winner. The blinds are still low and the stacks are high, so this final table could be the longest day of this event. See you then!

Bob Cole Eliminated in 10th Place

Bob Cole moved all in from middle position for 34,000 and was called by Samuel Oberlin on the button. The hands were:

Cole: {A-Clubs} {5-Clubs}
Oberlin: {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}

The board rolled out {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} and Oberlin's king kicker played. Bob Cole finishes on the bubble while Oberlin increases his stack to 229,500, closing today's action.

Chad Hahn Eliminated

Chad Hahn raises to 4,500 and Joey Couden puts him all in. Hahn calls.

Hahn: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Couden: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

Board: {2-Clubs}{K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

Hahn is out.

The staff has made the decision NOT to combine the two tables of five into one quasi-final table. The two tables will play shorthanded until the bubble player is eliminated.

Perry Cain Eliminated in 12th Place

David Kopacz made it 12,000 to go from middle position and Jerry Martin reraised to 30,000 from the small blind. Perry Cain in the big blind, down to 22,500, put all his chips in the middle and David Kopacz called too.

The {8-Spades} {5-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} board was checked down, with Jerry Martin revealing {10-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} and the other players throwing their cards into the muck.

Perry Cain finishes in 12th place while Jerry Martin ups his stack to 142,000.

Kopacz Applies Pressure

A limped pot saw a flop of {3-Spades} {4-Spades} {7-Diamonds}. The action was checked to Jerry Martin who bet 12,000, but was immediately raised by David Kopacz in the small blind to 25,000. Samuel Oberlin folded the big blind and Jerry Martin called. The {A-Diamonds} turn saw Kopacz shove all in. Martin folded quickly, showing {8-Spades} {8-Clubs} .

Kopacz now sits at 193,000 while Martin drops to 85,000.
