Bill Edler
Bill Edler
Some of you might remember a critical hand that took place during last month's PokerStars Carribean Adventure in the Bahamas between Bill Edler and Victor Ramdin. Edler got all of his money in holding pocket kings against a pot-committed Ramdin, who tabled 4-5 offsuit. The 6-7-8 flop delivered a miracle straight for Ramdin, ending Edler's island visit much earlier than he'd hoped.

Fast-forward to today. Facing a 3,700 raise from an opponent seated in the cutoff, Edler re-popped it another 6,000 from the small blind, leaving himself approximately 10,000 behind. "I'm all in," announced his opponent. Pot-committed, Edler exclaimed that he hoped he was up against A-K before reluctantly making the call.

"Nice hand," Edler said, as his opponent tabled pocket kings. Bill could only produce {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}, though as it turned out, that was all he'd need to run down his opponent's monster hand, as the board filled out {8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

After the hand, Bill stacked up just over 40,000 in new chips.
