Gal's Jacks No Good; Break

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

In the last hand of the level, Zoltan Gal raised to 120,000 with the {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Tonino Schmitz called with {A-Spades}{5-Clubs} out of the big blind. On the flop {7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}, Schmitz check-called a small continuation bet for 105,000 with top pair and the {7-Diamonds} turn and {9-Clubs} river were checked through.

Aces and sevens won the pot for Schmitz and the players headed into a 15-minute break.

Timarac Beats King

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Dragoslav Timarac opened the action to 125,000 from the hijack to 125,000 with {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}. King flats from the small blind with {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and the duo goes heads-up to the flop.

Flop: {A-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

King checks, and Timarac reps he hit at least a piece of the flop and fires out for 180,000. King gives up on the hand and folds, awarding a small pot to Timarac.

Hansen Steps Up the Game

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Jens Steuber raised from under the gun with the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and claimed the blinds and antes. Then, Johnny Hansen raised from the hijack with the {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} to 135,000. Zoltan Gal then squeezed to 360,000 from the small blind with {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and snap-folded to a four-bet by the Dane.

One hand later, Tonino Schmitz raised to 125,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Hansen flat-called with the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Dragoslav Timarac called from the cutoff with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Andrew King flatted in the big blind with {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}. On the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop, Schmitz continued for 175,000 and just Hansen called before they checked down the {J-Hearts} turn. On the {7-Clubs} river, Schmitz check-folded to a bet of 275,000 and Hansen took over the lead.

Aleksei Ivanov Eliminated in 9th Place (€19,304)

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Aleksei Ivanov
Aleksei Ivanov

Aleksei Ivanov had shoved from under the gun and grabbed the blinds and antes only for Tonino Schmitz to steal his big blind the hand after. Then, Jens Steuber pushed from the button and Ivanov called for his last 600,000 from the small blind as player at risk.

Steuber: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Ivanov: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and provided a huge sweat. Once the {A-Hearts} arrived on the turn, Ivanov was left with one out only as the {K-Clubs} would have given Steuber a flush. It was not meant to be for the Belorussian, as the {5-Clubs} river filled up the board and sent Ivanov to the rail in 9th place.

The official final table is now set and there is a short 10-minute break. In the meanwhile, the delayed live stream will be catching up with the feature table and the coverage then continues on the delay once the final table gets underway.

King's Kings Make it Through

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Just after Alexandar Denishev busted from the tournament with pocket kings, Andrew King woke up with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and raised it to 100,000 under the gun. Zoltan Gal opted to three-bet from the button with {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Dragoslav Timarac who has been fairly active and just won with pocket jacks to eliminate Denishev opted to take a hand off despite finding himself with {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. King was thinking about his best line, and opted to four-bet to 650,000. Gal decided to fold before the hand saw a flop.

Alexandar Denishev Eliminated in 10th Place (€15,513)

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Alexandar Denishev
Alexandar Denishev

Alexandar Denishev was playing quite conservatively on the feature table when compared to his earlier play in the day. Some of this may be due to the fact that he would have won the WSOP Circuit King's Casino Player of the Year Award - along with a free ticket to the $10,000 buy-in WSOP National Championship just by finishing in seventh place or better.

Unfortunately for Denishev, Lady Luck was not on his side. In a hand against Dragoslav Timarac, Denishev opened under-the-gun to 100,000 with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and was three bet by his opponent who held {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} to 235,000. Denishev seemed to be thinking about whether to shove or just call, and opted for the former by going all-in for 1,055,000. Timarac, who has been taking his time with much smaller decisions than this one, tanked for a few minutes before calling the shove.

If Denishev opted to just call, he probably could have gotten away from the hand after the flop of {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} with the one over-card to his preflop pair. As things turned out, Timarac flopped a set, and was able to hold after Denishev's hand didn't improve when the {4-Spades} hit the turn and the {3-Diamonds} hit the river.

Meanwhile, Timarac is now getting closer to the chip-leaders and is well above the average stack after being fairly low just a blind level ago.
