Showdown Pot for Cammisuli

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Picking up the action on the {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, Patrick Schuhl bet 2,000 when it was his turn to act and he was called by Flaviano Cammisuli on the button and Marek Blasko in the big blind. The {4-Hearts} turn and {4-Clubs} river were then checked down as Schuhl tabled an ace-nine. Cammisuli had that beat with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Blasko flashed {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a busted draw.

Kolesnikov Collects on the flop

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

After a limp by a player in early position, Danny van der Meer raised to 2,600 and Tobias Peters called. Jurij Kolesnikov then reraised to 5,600 and the limper folded. Van der Meer and Peters called to see a flop of {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Kolesnikov made it 7,500 to go, which won the pot right there without resistance.

With 7,800 in the middle to the {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades} turn, Guy Goossens checked and Karol Bogusz made it 6,000 to go. The Belgian reluctantly called and checked again the {9-Clubs} on the river. Bogusz bet another 10,000 to earn a call and turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, which Goossens had beat with the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

Valdir Cordeiro Dos Santos has been eliminated for a second time and has one more chance to take part on Day 1a, otherwise he can also jump into tomorrow's second and final starting day.

Simperl Wins a Simple Pot

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Five ways to the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} turn, Wolfgang Simperl bet 1,500 and announced "I don't have a flush" while four opponents were still to act. Linda van de Ree called on the button and the other three players folded.

Simperl also bet the {5-Clubs} river for 5,500 and van de Ree quickly folded. When asked, she replied "I had no ace and no diamond."

Hooijer Binks the Turn

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

A short-stacked Helmut Hoflehner ended up at risk before the flop and was called by Dutchman Berend Hooijer.

Hoflehner turned over the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and needed to dodge aces versus {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}. The {a-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and that spelled the end for the German.

"What should I do?" Hooijer asked in table chat and then grinned while raking in the pot.

Vat Gets Creative Against Mozaffarian

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

There was some laughter at the table when Amir Mozaffarian lost a medium-sized pot versus Michel Vat. As per the table chat, Mozaffarian had opened and called a three-bet to then check-call the {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop. With 17,000 in the middle, both players checked the {2-Hearts} turn and {3-Diamonds}.

Mozaffarian announced ace-high and tabled the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}. His opponent rolled over the {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, which then caused the reactions from several players at the table. "Ah, you three-bet with that hand, guess I have to rethink my strategy," Mozaffarian joked.
