Before the flop Saro Getzoyan raised and Geoff Sanford re-raised to 90K. After Saro called they saw a flop of {5-Clubs}

and Getzoyan check-raised Sanford and was called. The {Q-Diamonds}

fell on the turn, Getzoyan bet and was called, and when the {2-Spades}

hit on the river Saro through in his last 5K.

Getzoyan turned over {A-Hearts}

and the pair of Eights he flopped were good enough to keep him alive in the today's event.

Thor Hansen's Stack Grows

With the board showing {10-Clubs}

Saro Getzoyan bet out and, when Thor Hansen called, immediately mucked his cards. Hansen never showed his own hand so we don't know what he had, but what we do know is that after falling short on chips early on Thor Hansen is now very close to the chip lead.

William Thorsson Re-Takes the Chip Lead

After he won a huge pot from Geoff Sanford. Thorsson raised and Sanford and Thor Hansen both called in the blinds. The flop came {8-Spades}

and Thorsson led out. Hansen called, Sanford raised and, after Thorsson called, Hanson chose to get out of the way.

The turn brought the {K-Diamonds}

and Sanford led out for 60K. Thorsson raised and Sanford called. The {7-Spades}

fell on the river and this time Sanford check-called Thorsson's bet. Thorsson turned over the {7-Clubs}

for the full house and Sanford mucked his cards.

David Gee Is Eliminated in 5th Place

After losing that cruel hand where his pocket Kings ran into pocket Aces, David Gee was eliminated in 5th place by Thor Hansen. Gee moved in the last of his chips with {K-Spades}

and Hansen called with {10-Hearts}

. The flop provided no help but the {7-Clubs}

on the turn gave Gee a few extra outs, but the {10-Clubs}

on the river gave Hansen a set. Gee receives $68,850 for his fifth-place finish.

Saro Getzoyan Wins a Monster Pot Against David Gee

Just as things slowed down a bit, the biggest pot of the day. Before the flop David Gee raised and Saro Getzoyan re-raised. Gee called and they saw a flop of {6-Hearts}

. Getzoyan bet and Gee called, and then after the {3-Spades}

hit on the turn Gee raised Getzoyan, who just called. He also just called Gee's bet on the river when the {4-Hearts}

fell.

When the cards were flipped over Getzoyan's {A-Hearts}

had beaten Gee's {K-Hearts}

. Gee slammed his fist on the table as he saw how unlucky he'd been to run into the only hand bigger than his Kings. That pot sent Getzoyan up to nearly 880K and Gee down to 100,000.
