Phil Hellmuth Goes Out To Quads

With a stack over 10,000, Phil Hellmuth ended up with all his chips in the middle as he usually does--with the best of it. Phil turned over {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} and his opponent had {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}.

And then, the fireworks began.

The flop came {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {3-Hearts} and a collective "whoooo" went up from the table. One player pointed out that Phil had picked up a flush draw...and that's right about the time when the case Jack hit the turn.

You probably wouldn't take a hand like that with perfect aplomb, and Phil didn't either, sniping a bit about the call when he'd only shown down one hand at that table and that had been a set of Queens. But he shook everyone's hand, groused a bit more, and headed for the hall with "Whoo, I'm shaking!" as his exit line.

Huck Seed Chips Up

On a flop of {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, both Huck Seed and his opponent checked. The turn was the {Q-Hearts}. Seed's opponent bet 500 and Seed called. The river was the {5-Clubs}. Seed's opponent bet another 500 and Seed called again. Seed showed the {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and dragged the pot with his full house. He was up to 5,200 after the hand.

David Williams, Living Large

David Williams has around 16,000 in his stack right now, but those chips aren't enough to keep him happy. He also has a number of big-denomination cash chips sitting there on the felt to... keep him company?

After the players tossed in their antes before the hand someone threw in too much. Williams pointed out which player anted too much and said, "I'm the King of Honesty."

In another hand, after Williams and another player checked the flop and Williams checked again on the turn, his opponent stared him down for a good while before reaching for his stack. While he selected his chips Williams silently slinged his cards into the muck. The other player made his bet and Williams joked, "What are you doing?" and pointed as his cards. "That was the 'Stealth Muck,'" he said.
