Annie Duke Chips Up

It's early in the day yet but Annie Duke has run her stack up over 7K, due in large part to the hand she just won. With the board reading {4-Clubs} {K-Spades} {J-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} Annie bet 750 and was raised to 1500. She moved all-in for an additional 1500 and was called. Duke held K-J, the other player had A-K, and when the {7-Hearts} hit on the river Duke scooped a big pot.

The Dapper Robert Williamson III

Robert Williamson III joined his "tent table" carrying a glass of wine and wearing a beautiful sport coat. He greeted his table-mates with a very friendly "Hello one and all... let's have some fun!"

Only two hands later, the sport coat came off, though he still looks dapper as ever in his purple and black silk shirt.

Runner-Runner Sends Chad Brown Out

After seeing a board reading K-2-J-3 Chad Brown and another player got all their chips in. Brown turned over K-2 for two pair, the other player held A-K. The board paired threes on the river to counterfeit Brown's deuces and send him out of the tournament.

Miami John Cernuto Loses a Pot

Five players called in an unraised pot including Miami John Cernuto from late position. The flop came {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{K-Spades}. The big blind checked, Cernuto bet 175, the dealer, small blind and big blind folded. The player in middle position called. The turn came {K-Clubs}, middle position checked, Cernuto bet 300 and his opponent called. The river came {8-Diamonds}, both players checked, Cernuto's opponent showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for a set to win the pot and Cernuto mucked his hand.

Hot in Here

The air-conditioned outdoor tent that houses 56 overflow tables is well... not exactly air-conditioned today. Though the A/C is on and allegedly working, the temperature inside the tent is even warmer than it is outdoors in the afternoon Vegas heat. Needless to say, many of the players are not happy about the situation. Security is doing their best to keep the doors closed so the room can cool down.
