Devilfish Can't Talk His Way Out of This One

Down to just $575, Devilfish Ulliott moves all-in. "I've got Queens," he tells the table. Again and again he reassures them that he's an honest man, he wouldn't tell a lie. He has Queens.

After thinking a long time a player a few spots to his right calls and shows down A-Q. "How could you call with Ace-Queen when you know I have Queens?" Devilfish says--and then tables K-10. Those Queens he claimed to hold would've come in handy, because even though Devilfish flopped an open-ended straight draw he didn't improve from there and has been eliminated.

Paul Wolfe Eliminated

Paul Wolfe limped from middle position, the small blind called. The flop was {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {Q-Clubs}. The small blind bet 100, Wolfe raised to 300 and the small blind called. The river was the {3-Diamonds}. The small blind checked, Wolfe moved all in for his remaining 700, and the small blind called. The small blind showed {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Wolfe muttered that he "had a 3" as he mucked his cards and headed to the rail.

Per Ummer Eliminated

After moving all-in on the river another player stared down Per Ummer for a long, long, long time. "If you have a king, you deserve to be on TV," his opponent said. "If you don't, you don't." The other player called and Ummer mucked without even showing his cards.

Rio Poker Room

The first hundred alternates were seated by 1:40pm in the Rio Poker Room. The good news is that the players are playing, the bad news is that the Rio Poker Room is a good hike from the alternate staging area.

There are currently no "name" players in that room.
