Alex Jacob Doubles Up

The player UTG raised to 325, Alex Jacob re-raised to 1,100, the UTG player re-raised to 3,025, Jacob moved him all-in and he called. The UTG player showed {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} while Jacob turned over {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. The flop was a killer-- {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}-- bringing a straight for Jacob and bottom set for his opponent. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and the river was the {3-Hearts}. No boat for Jacob's opponent and he hit the rail.

Jacob was up to 10,000 after the hand.

Fast - But Not as Fast

The $1.5K 6 Handed event played extremely fast - with dealers shouting out "seat open" so frequently in the first few minutes of play, it sounded like a morbid greek chorus. Maybe it's the extra chips, affording players to feel each other out a little longer, but we are definitely having a more measured start in the $2.5K.
