Sean Chen Breaks 100K

Eliminations and Prize Payouts Mounting

With so many eliminations it is getting hard to report all the action. We have had several eliminations, bumping the prizepool into higher payouts. We will continue to bring you live updates as to the amount of eliminations, prizepool, and payouts as soon as they are made available to us.

Pocket Pair No Good For Gordon

Phil Gordon called a bet on the flop of 1,400.

Flop:{A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

His opponent raised when the {5-Hearts} came off on the turn and Phil reraised. After his opponent checked the {J-Hearts} on the river, Phil made it 7,500. His opponent called and turned over {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Phil showed pocket sixes.

Finally

It took a little more time than we expected, but we're now down to 269 players. Two players -- Reza Zand and Michael Kaplitz -- busted on the same hand, so they'll split the prize money for the 270th spot. They'll each take home $1,474. Which, as they say, is better than nothing.

Let's Try This Again

The noises have stopped, the microphones work, and the players are back in their seats. Cards are back in the air, we're down to 272 players, and we'll reach the money after 2 more eliminations.

Unexpected Break

Well, because there are no working microphones and the noise level is getting a bit much, the players have been sent on an impromptu break. There's no good way for the floor to communicate and keep track of the hand-for-hand bustouts, so they'll take 15 minutes and try to resolve the issue.

Make It Stop!

Adding to the usual pre-bubble chaos is some non-stop and very irritating feedback coming over the P.A. system. No one on the floor seems to know what the problem is, as they turned their all their microphones off and the godawful noise is still blasting away.
