John Guth Forces A Huge Laydown

With the board reading {5-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and having called Robert Stevanovski's bets on the flop and turn, John Guth suddenly raised on the river. Stevanovski thought it over a long time before throwing his cards face-up into the muck -- showing that he'd flopped a set of Aces.

Guth had represented a wheel and when Robert asked, "Did you have it?" Guth said, "I did."

Chip Counts

We're down to three and here's how the players are stacked:

Robert Stevanovski: 1,250,000
John Guth: 845,000
David Flores: 700,000

Max Reynard Is Eliminated in 4th Place

Max Reynard came to today's final table as our chip leader but just couldn't get anything going today. After paying his big blind on hand #95 he was down to a meager handful of chips and he tossed them in after John Guth and Robert Stevanovski limped into the pot.

Guth and Stevanovski checked down the {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} board and Stevanovski showed 6-4-5-7 for a wheel and a six-high straight. That was good enough to scoop the pot and eliminate Reynard, who takes home $101,332 for his fourth-place finish.

Greg Jameson Goes Out in 5th Place

After staving off elimination just a few hands ago, Greg Jameson was eliminated on hand #79. Robert Stevanovski raised before the flop and Jameson called, and when the flop came {6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} Jameson bet and was called. He was also called when the {7-Spades} came on the turn and when the {A-Spades} hit on the river Jameson committed the last of his chips. Stevanovski called and showed A-Q, which made a higher pair than Jameson's counterfeited A-6. Greg Jameson collects $75,012 for his 5th place finish.

John Guth Scoops

Robert Stevanovski raised on hand #78 and John Guth called in the big blind. The flop came{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Guth check-called Stevanovski's bet. Both players check the {3-Hearts} on the turn and the {4-Clubs} on the river. Guth flipped over 2-4 for a straight and the low and scooped the pot.
